Got to play a little bit of the new maps. Liberation is comically bad, rushing is punished seemingly as gimp more or less eluded to in the map trailer vids. Piazza is alright, really reminds me of GT 4

, but it's ruined by a x amount of guns.

Really don't understand how sometimes your air support can destroy an enemy team .... even an attack helicopter. Surely someone on the other side has a class with a stinger they can respawn with

Have it on 6 of my 7 classes

but taking down air support is always someone elses job, thats the cod mentality. Is it wrong that the first silver callsign emblem for kills with a weapon I got was the stinger? the m4a1 was the second

Yeah must be. That said I do die a lot due to chronic lack of ammunition.

Love killing those assault drones with the stinger though.

My air support (Attack Chopper and beyond), the rare times I bother with assault get taken out in seconds 8 times out of 10.

Most of our games enemy air support won't even get 1 kill, so easy to take down, easy points.

People have finally copped on to taking out air support, probably due to the inclusion of support streaks so even if they're beating the other team bad, they'll still get UAVs etc. My Helis are shot down a lot more often on this than previous cods.

I remember playing kill confirm on Seatown and you know the 5 helicopter thing I was in that house over looking the market seen that they start so aimed for the middle one which takes the 3 inside one out then finished the 2 all from in side the house I was delira

Strafe Run + Stinger = easy points..

strafe runs are great for easy xp, aim for the middle one.

I didnt know you could take out assault drones with stingers, must try that later.

Indeed it is and power to you or anyone who gets in those lobbies. Just curious was all.. and a tad baffled at my situation :P Even going back to MW2 days I never had much luck when running the big killstreaks, when others in even the same game had the freedom to absolutely hammer the enemy. Small part of why I don't run those killstreaks for the most part anymore (small parties in GW I occasionally will).

Even looking at vids posted here from boardsies, people seem to get the luckiest of lobbies quite regularly (at least compared to me) while I'll come against individuals who will certainly take out my stuff :pac:

First of all, you have to be an elite premium member using an Xbox 360. Have a gold subscription and internet access. Open up MW3 and go into multiplayer, then into the barracks I think and from here you should see the store. You'll be able to download both maps from here.

I do this for strafe runs:

Aim at the chopper second in from either side with your stinger you usually get 3 kills, then nail the remaining 2 helis with the second missle.

loads of XP, illustration for my own amusement.

stinger should be default or unlocked very early, this is ridiculous having to waiit till level 40 too unlock it, javelin is bollocks for shooting down things, sam turrets seems to only go for uavs most the time.

Use a prestige token to unlock it, its the first thing i unlocked, i hated not having it either during the early levels of a prestige

Speaking of prestege tokens.... don't ever use one to reset your stats ! LOL

I did it on PC over the weekend and it reset my presteges etc ! I thought it was just your leaderboard stats ha !

@zero19 that strafe run tip is actually very good. I'm such a dumass & always go for the centre one which leaves the two outside choppers. Can't believe I never thought of that. I swear my iq drops 30 points everytime the MW3 loading screen pops up on screen.

Also Krudler/Red agree with using a token for unlocking the stinger. It's just painful without it. Sniper is the only class I don't have it, as well. Run the shameful akimbo MG9s there.

The reason I never prestige to ten is the absolute certainty I'll mistakenly reset all my stats when drunk. Though presumably in MW3 if you go to ten and use a token you no longer can reset the stats ??

Folks,

I've a quick question but didn' want to set up a thread. My television is suffering from lag input i.e the pad makes a move but the TV gets that move and the gun responds a second or so later. Is there any solution to it? I've read online and some are recommending a VGA cable to minimize the transition the TV has to make. I've tinkered around with the settings but to no avail. Other games aren't as bad.

Well that IS strange?

The thing is it could be from the pad, the console, the cables or the tv. Process of elimination is your friend here.

Step1 - Try a new pad, same console /tv/cables.
(If it resolves then you know its the pad)

Step2 - Try original pad but new console if poss, same tv/cables
(If this resolves then you know its the console)

Step 3 - Try the original pad and console but new cables and same tv
(You get the idea by now)

Basically swap in one new component and test, if no effect then brng back the original compnent then move up the chain for a repeat of the process. Eventually you will narrow down the device thats causing the issue then you can focus on replacing it.

I have never heard of this happening before and it'd be more than likely the console if you ask me seeing as the pad is really a dumb piece of kit in the scheme of things.
