I think you're under eating for the amount of exercise you're doing. If you're not going to use your weeklies then you should use your activity points. Bulk up your meals with extra protein. Its a common problem with weight loss as people don't realise that they could be under eating. Ask your leader for advice about it. Have you tried a week using all your weeklies? Maybe try that and see if the scales budge :)

Eabhabear you beat me too it. I was going to suggest that also. Show your leader the tracker, tell her how many weeklies u've used and try and record all exercise and see if this may be it. This happened to me also and I was driving myself mad with all the effort, I was being 'too' good and not eating near enough to keep the metabolism up and to lose. And it was hard at first to use all the weeklies. I admit I'm doing it a good while and I've only used them all up once or twice. I only use about 25 a week on average but I do understand thats its important for when your on maintenance....

First day back at college today. Back on WW wagon as of 8am this morning following my weekend splurge! Had my cereal as normal, went to gym, made a smoked salmon bagel and brought it to college with me and heading home now for chicken stir fry dinner! Really hope I can keep it up, workload pilling on already!

My boyf has gone back to work today after a week off and i'm finding it a lot easier to stick to a plan! He's a lover of goodies and I found it hard to resist nibbling during a dvd the other night but I took it upon myself to sit in the amchair on the opposite side of the room while he munched!

Weigh in tomorrow, v nervous as scales at home is saying +1 pound! My Mum says the batteries are dying in it and I really hope the scales at WI tomorrow prove her right!

Best of luck for the coming week!

    :D

If you've lost 5lbs over 2 weeks then you're not doing anything wrong. That's a brilliant loss given the optimal loss is 1-2lbs a week. Don't be too hard on yourself as if you set the bar too high you're more likely to find it harder. Good luck with your WI on Weds. Mine is also Weds and like you I feel bloated and I don't think my WI is going to be good. But I'm looking at the bigger picture. I've 5lbs gone over 3 weeks and they're going to stay off :)

Would love to get my silver 7 this week.

That would be 2lbs down this week. Heres hopin!

Just in the process of converting my old fabulous and filling ww book to pro points. Maybe a change in dinner menus will give me a boost!!!

Well got my hour exercising in, have to say the first 20 minutes drove me mad all toning upper body, but I made it through and enjoyed the rest. hope its doing me some good :D

Meringues, I made some with 2 egg whites, 100 grams of cane sugar sweetener and a tablespoon of hot chocolate, I got 9 out of the mixture, but what would you point them at! I think the cane sugar sweetener is 0 but wanted to double check before I made a mistake!

Any one like Nachos I have a weight watchers recipe but need to point it, here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wmq4dCAktXw

Hello All! First post in this thread, a long time looking but only posting tonight! Had a day off today and spent a long time reading through a lot of it - Ye lot are inspiring, that's all I can say! :)
I must've joined WW five or six times since my teens, in my late 30's now and the weight has been creeping on the last few years. Really makes you feel bad :(, but all my own doing I know! While I have not joined WW again, I am doing it myself this time at home - a friend joined a few months ago and left and has given me the books, calculator etc. I started 'the new me' (:D) on January 3rd - 5lbs off the first week, 4 last week. And, I am kinda following the OT crowd on the telly, so usually weigh myself on a Wednesday.
Some great recipes here which I'll be trying, so thanks! Getting in to my walking again and feeling a bit of looseness in my jeans already! :) I feel determined this time and am enjoying it so far - touch wood, it'll last! Have a wedding in October and I'd love to look a million dollars for it. I am very surprised at how filling and tasty things are that I wouldn't have dreamed of eating in the past. I am now taking time to cook things and eat slowly, whereas before I would have gobbled it down in 5 mins and be hungry again in an hour! White bread and Crisps were my killers! Now, the white has been replaced with brown, but I do still have a bag of Walkers Baked every night - I couldn't do without them! :o Also, I am getting up earlier in the morning to have a breakfast, which I never did the last few years.
Anyway, sorry for such a long first post! :)

Baked some WW mini choc chip muffins today, the ones from the easy make box, they are delicious and only 1pp each, perfect to satisfy a chocolate craving!

Ok so I came out of my birthday weekend with -34 points (used all my dailies and weeklies and an extra 34!!)

Three good things about it all..
    • I tracked everything I ate and drank
    • I got up this morning made a salad and had my usual cereal and yougurt and fruit breakfast so I'm well and truely staying back on the waggon!!
    • I enjoyed every minute of my weekend

    Happy Birthday!!...
The thing is - you have to live!...So there will be weeks when you go 34 points over, but then you just get back to it after that....
If you hadn't let loose, you would have resented doing WW and dieting, and not enjoyed weekend at all...

I have delayed the start of my New Years good intentions due to having a crazy few weeks in work. So now, no excuses, the health and fitness (and weight loss) regime is kicking in! Joining a Dublin WW class on Thursday, and starting off the exercise efforts tonight with a dance class….hoping you guys can share tips, successes, woes, give me a kick up the arse etc as appropriate. Have tried buddying up with friends before but either I or they give up due to the shame/ embarrassment of not doing as well as we would both like. Going to see how cyber support works out! Any tips on what I should buy in before the class….no points soup still around? Their website any good for recipes? Support welcome!

Website is really really good for recipes - loads of ideas up there...I also just bought one of their cookbooks, so waiting now to get it in the post...

Main tip - Stay positive, Have as many zero points food as you can, If you have a bad day, just make up your mind to make the next day better....

Right, apologies for posting the last few posts....

At the WW now for the last 3 weeks - Down 4 points so far...Delighted with that...Would love to have lost more, but I feel better, and think I am starting to look trimmer...

I'm exercising a good bit too, so whatever happens on the scales, I can only be getting healthier...:D

Second WI tomorrow. I stuck to the plan all week, was smothered with a headcold at the weekend so I did treat myself to a packet of maltesers! (5pp a bag, happy days)

I'm hoping I'll be ok. Excercise was non-existant this week apart from the cycle to and from work and my water intake was pretty crap, again! Having said that, I feel like my belly has gone down a little and this is the first place I always seem to lose it (damn you thighs and upper arms!!) so I'm hoping for a loss. If its even half a pound I'll be happy :)

Best of luck all for the WIs!

Defo getting on those muffins Ali! Thanks for that, coz any 'low fat/cal' muffins I ever make always have a slight taste of cardboard about them ! :-) So here's hoping they're actually tasty! Have you made them before?!

I made them once before and they turned out alright, not fantastic but that was because I used very bland apples for the apple sauce... where my friend has made them with Granny Smiths and they are DELISH!!!!

    :)

Yea my OH was slagging me, I weighed out all my cereal for the week and put it into little bags for work for each day...

I have been measuring rice, cous cous, even fillets of fish and chicken.

I am tracking EVERYTHING. Even the baked cheese puffs from aldi... OMG they are amazing... 2pps for 20g.

Saw the cheese puffs must try them out, very focused and here for the long haul, to get to a healthy weight, having just completed my first full year of WW and Pro Points, I have refocused and personally I have found, that having a done a lot of exercise over the year ( half marathon, 10K runs, Hell and Back etc, its the weeks I am tracking well and eating well and healthily that I have my good weight loss, i feel its the healthy eating with true tracking more so than than the exercise that will bring long term results. I found in the past that I was relying on lots of exercise alone to get my weight down rather than a good combination of healthy eating habits/lifestyle change and exercise.

I'm on the same track, around a pound a week. Some weeks I'll lose nothing in spite of effort then one random week I'll lose 3. If you can get one of those graph paper thingies from your leader to track your weekbyweek loss it really shows how a STS or even a gain isn't the worst in the grand scheme of things.

the iWatcher app on teh iphone has a weight loss graph so i track everything there. I'm only 2 weeks in but I hope overtime itll show the big picture so a bad week wont be so disheartening!

    Thats brilliant, good work!

Gonna make the lasagne myself this weekend and freeze all 4 portions. I usually have some form of ready meal in the freezer for handyness sake, but think im gonna start bulk freezing my own - cos even those the Tesco Lighter Choices ones arent bad tasting, they are still high in sugar and salt and prob better to be eating home made!
