Weighed myself today, only down 1.5lbs since December:mad: I really don't understand it, my clothes are way looser, most of my size 12 jeans are too big for me now, eating within in my points, exercising loads, FML! Was so proud of myself until I stepped onto the stupid scales!

Don't be so reliant on the number on the scales - you obviously feel a lot better, you're fitting into smaller sizes, you're a lot healthier, so don't let the scales rule you. It's only a number. I know it seems like the be all and end all, but it really isn't - that could be down to anything from water retention, to the time of the month, to increased muscle mass from all your exercise. Don't worry about it - you're obviously going in the right direction, and there's no better feeling than your jeans being loose - regardless of what the scales say. Best of luck for the week x

Im still struggling with any weight loss. I have been drinking water, eating all my points, walking, jogging, boxing on the Wii Fit. i have only used 10 of my weeklies and I have earned about 15 activity points so far from the above exercises, just doesn't seem to be shifting at all.

I made a concious effort to use all my dailies this week, even having toast in the evenings to make up the difference... The wii fit has me actually putting up half a kilo!

    Dreading WI.... :(

Ok so I came out of my birthday weekend with -34 points (used all my dailies and weeklies and an extra 34!!)

Three good things about it all..
    • I tracked everything I ate and drank
    • I got up this morning made a salad and had my usual cereal and yougurt and fruit breakfast so I'm well and truely staying back on the waggon!!
    • I enjoyed every minute of my weekend

Good work, I think the best thing is to be aware of what you are eating. And when you know you have been over to just draw a line under it an get back on track as soon as possible!

Most people do treat themselves a bit on their birthday :)

Maybe bring your tracker into your leader and see if she can suggest any thing. Are you weighing all your foods?

I am doing that as well... going to Aqua Fit tonight... but just for the nights when I don't get home until late and it's too dark to get out into the park or that it's just handy to get the half hour/hour in in the evenings.

Yea my OH was slagging me, I weighed out all my cereal for the week and put it into little bags for work for each day...

I have been measuring rice, cous cous, even fillets of fish and chicken.

I am tracking EVERYTHING. Even the baked cheese puffs from aldi... OMG they are amazing... 2pps for 20g.

I agree with Ali getting up on the Wii is good for when you can not get out.. way better than sitting on your bum watching telly any bit of extra movements we do is a help!!

I proudly went for a walk yesterday had gone so lazy when i started ww i was at the gym 3 times a week lol

Just back from the gym and I cheated and weighed myself there! And it says I'm down 4lbs! We'll see on tuesday but I really hope its right cos I have been working so hard!

Also am back in my jeans again, they are too tight and I do have to wear a loose top to cover the muffin top. But the fact they are too small is more motivating than wearing my usual baggy clothes all the time.

Good luck on WI, don't be to disappointed if the scales does not show the same loss, as can happen some times

I have the sports active, I thinks its great, esp for when you cant get out or may be to self conscious to begin with about trying to jog etc in public :) you have to work hard to get your heart rate in the right zone and keep it there, Ive been doing it the last 3 weeks, ( along with walking) and last night I walked and jogged and it was brilliant felt great after wards. nothing beats a good walk with company out side though!

Yea the OH is great for coming walking with me, I even bring the little one with me, but she does be shattered as well. Irish dancing and basketball during the week keeps her occupied. I love getting out and being able to keep my own pace. Just the park at night, ehhhhh not so much haha!!!

I'm really looking forward to the brighter evenings coming in. By the time I get home in the evenings if I don't get out within half an hour of getting home its just waaaaay too dark by the time I am half way around.

I have delayed the start of my New Years good intentions due to having a crazy few weeks in work. So now, no excuses, the health and fitness (and weight loss) regime is kicking in! Joining a Dublin WW class on Thursday, and starting off the exercise efforts tonight with a dance class….hoping you guys can share tips, successes, woes, give me a kick up the arse etc as appropriate. Have tried buddying up with friends before but either I or they give up due to the shame/ embarrassment of not doing as well as we would both like. Going to see how cyber support works out! Any tips on what I should buy in before the class….no points soup still around? Their website any good for recipes? Support welcome!

Hi Eircom! I have recently started doing one. It's nothing amazing, but it's fun to do and also another motivator to keep it up and do well! I've my weight loss so far (2 whole weeks haha!) and one or two recipes posted :D

I remember reading somewhere before that Jamie Oliver has said in relation to soup, to start any soup with sauteing (amazing spelling there!) an onion, carrot, celery & a clove of garlic or two, and then adding a litre of water or stock and whatever veg you wish to make the main flavour of your soup ;)

    Works for me :D

I have one of the old WW cookbooks at home. Its in the black hole of calcutta also known as the press under the stairs in my mams since we moved back home... I'm going to dig it out and use the online site to repoint the recipes. Some of them were really nice.

Decision made... I shall be digging it out this evening!!! :)

Having the Light Choices Sweet & Sour for dinner this evening. It goes down a treat with everyone and it means I don't have to make 4 different dinners!!! I got the WW sweet & sour last week and it just wasn't as nice!

@ Chocolatekelmo.... have a look in your local tescos for meals. Their light choices/healthy living range is brilliant and a lot cheaper than the WW stuff generally. Although a lot of the supermarkets are doing deals on the ww brand things. I love the wraps or bagels... Handy instead of bread for lunches....

I think you're under eating for the amount of exercise you're doing. If you're not going to use your weeklies then you should use your activity points. Bulk up your meals with extra protein. Its a common problem with weight loss as people don't realise that they could be under eating. Ask your leader for advice about it. Have you tried a week using all your weeklies? Maybe try that and see if the scales budge :)
