I don't like to come across as the stoner who insists there's nothing wrong with weed, but to consider alcohol to be fine and weed to be otherwise is a bit.. Odd. Weed is far less harmful than alcohol, in my honest to god opinion, and has been backed up by evidence, too.

Pills are questionable, especially getting them in a club.

I was more concentrating on the pills side although it didnt come across that way i suppose. Ive nothing against people who smoke weed, ive been known to dabble. Pills just scare the bejeebus outta me. Maybe im naive.

To be honest, it's not the MDMA (which is what people take pills for) that is the problem, it's what can be mixed in with them or what they're cut with really. With regulation there wouldn't be a problem with this but right now you can't be sure what you're getting in each pill. That's why buying blind in a club is a bad idea.

I hate the fact that my main girl friends are taking pills and stuff on nights out, like every weekend. I know its their choice but I really don't like it.its stuff like that, which make me avoid house parties with their new group of lad mates.all the lads take em which is why 4 out of the 5 girls have tried them.it really freaks me out.I feel bad for not wanting to head out with them but its just something I want to avoid.one seems to have copped on but the other three are doing it regularly.it sounds stupid but it acctually upsets me.
Sounds like a bad crowd they're hanging with, not much you can do really. At least you seem to realise the danger of it and don't just blindly joining in. I'd be very wary of pills, not because of their effect but because of the sheer unreliablility. It's the same with weed but at least it's something you can actually see and smell as opposed to just a capsule. You don't know what's being put into them, how they're cut, even if they're real or just duds. I'm telling you, they're going to come across one bad batch and it's going to really give them a scare. Hopefully it's just a phase or whatever and they'll grow out of it.

Well, my new years party didn't really happen. Did some shopping in the afternoon and saw someone that looked like my sister. Thought to myself "Isn't she supposed to be sick in bed today?" She was grounded anyway for keeping money from my parents lying that she 'lost' it so she wasn't supposed to be out anyway. Said to myself must be a coincidence. Got home, got ready, asked if my sister had been downstairs and my mother said she didn't, probably sleeping or something. Fair enough I thought, but I had a strange feelign about the whole thing. Went upstairs and knocked to see if she was okay. No reply. Tried opening the door but it was locked. Kind of freaked out and told my parents. Opened the door and my mother looked shocked. Stuff was racing through my head before she opened the door, had she killed herself or something, sounds a bit overdramatic but you just assume the worst. My friend had texted me saying he saw her downtown, tried contacting her, no replies. Finally found out where she was from one of her friends and we had to drive out looking for her. When she came home she just brought the house down along with her, screaming that her boyfriend was the only one she loved and all this crap. Whole evening had been pretty much ruined, the next few years of adolescence with her are going to be pure hell if she's pulling this **** off at 13... gutted :(

Last night was rotten. So sick, and I barely drank! And to top it all off before I even started to drink, I fell off a step and sprained my ankle. Been awake for four hours with the pain and am dying for water but I can't walk and dont wanna wake my friend up.

Bleugh, I have a headache but I had that before I was drinking last night as well. Of course no one is going to believe that so I'm having to sneak Paracetemols from the medicine cupboard for the day. :pac:

It somehow fixed itself! Also Ctrl 0 brings it back to regular size!

The bane of my life. I'm convinced the rumour that they've designed it to run badly on Windows machines to make Apple look good is true.

I use iTunes on Windows and have never had any major problems with it...

It's not stupid, pills scare the living sh1te out of me, have seen genuinely sound people turn into complete violent dickheads on them (way moreso than alcohol in my experience) and you're at way higher risk of doing harm to yourself with pills than drink any day....

Weed is totally fine in my view. I've acted way more of a dick while drunk than I've ever acted stoned. Everything in moderation imho.

Think I'll let Bill Hicks make a better argument than I ever could:

Um, are you sure they were on pills? Because pills give the opposite reaction, euphoria and a love buzz rather than violence. Alcohol would be more likely to cause violence, as would other drugs like cocaine. Not saying you're lying, just that that's not the reaction you generally get from ecstasy.

My ARGH: I was really looking forward to spending the night with my friend but now I think I'm just sitting at home for another night :(

Could just have been the reaction these particular people got with whatever they were mixing, was a good bit ago now so not sure really.

ugh....getting the onset of a cold... really sore throat and starting to get a cough.... as if that weren't bad enough, my headaches seem to have returned. :(

Foot got progressively worse, went to hospital.. Basically messed up some foot muscles big time. It's so swollen and bruised it looks like an elephant foot! Hope this isn't indicative of the year to come...

Did the exact same thing to my ankle once... fell backwards into the road outside a club... couldn't walk for like 4 days after it, and it remained a constant source of pain for six months after. :\

I need to get out of here.... but I can't... have to wait until Tuesday to get a haircut, sort out internet banking and transfer 1000euro of my savings to my Dad to repay him. :( Which means the earliest I can go to Limerick is Wednesday.... I'm going insane here.... I'm seriously considering opening the bottle of Jameson my brother got at work tomorrow night just to pass the time....

No! You need one named after a massive, gravitationally bound system that consists of stars and stellar remnants, an interstellar medium of gas and dust, and an important but poorly understood component tentatively dubbed dark matter.
