I agree about the soccer forum. I'm a huge football fan but hate posting over there because every little thing turns into an argument.

I'm a united fan but I have a Juventus sig because (I hate using the term "2nd team") but juventus would be my 2nd team and the lads that post in the Serie A thread are fine so if i do ever post its only there I do it but if you post in a PL thread its just ridiculous all the arguing.

I'm kinda like you i've supported Milan & Liverpool since I was 5 but if you said that there its like your a opportunist and unloyal to both. Serie A thread is great, always seems to be friendly but I think thats because only the minority post in there. You don't have X fans winding up Y fans over a result or player. I tend to ignore any thread around english teams you might aswell log out and forget about it.

That's a disgrace on an irish board - it's a very american trait - you're only "allowed" to like one brand, it's one or the other - coke or pepsi, 360 or PS3, WWE or TNA, Milan or Liverpool. What kind of idiot can't see the merits of liking a wider variety of things..."I love this, so therefore I hate everything else and anyone who thinks so is X, Y, Z" ....There has to always be conflict, some staunch, misguided allegiance to whatever company...

I wonder what percentage of abrasive, condescending fans (especially irish ones) have actually been to their team's stadium!!

yep not too much but supporting Alex McLeish's Villa doesent help. Individual team threads can be alright if not too big, i.e United and Pools are almost always full of people who should be posting in the other superthread just stirring sh!t.

Most of the soccer forum seem to not even know that Sh!t stirring is a proper art form too and they are just so bleeding obvious when doing it, Flah is actually considerd on of the best posters on that forum and we all know he's a major sh!t stirrer (in the best possible way of course) :pac:

I get called a glory hunter for being a Man City supporter by lots of mates and sometimes in the pub if im wearing a city jersey when a game is on, yet ive been going to their games since about 2003/4. Its ironic though when these people say it, yet their wearing Man Utd jerseys...

Had a peek at the racism thread there between that and Sky heralding brave Terry's average performance tonite I feel even sicker than I am already crocked with a flu that won't f**k off. Another thing I constantly roll my eyes at is the way players like Mata, Hazard and M'vila are already practically hailed as world class magicians and solutions for any situation. Good players yeah but don't go over the top about them.

Lads, is there any kind of iPod Touch/iPhone remote control for when you're out and about? One connected between your earphones and ios device; so you don't have to fish it out of your pocket, unlock, wait for gyroscope etc to go "next" on your playlist?

Just got an iTouch as a present (great timing as my iPod Classic died) and the only real downer is no physical buttons for next, pause etc.

Don't the standard iPod earphones come with that remote? If not, I'm fairly sure Argos or any store that sells Apple products should sell such earphones. I know I'm lost when I'm forced to use a pair without a remote.

Here's a pair in Argos (though, being offical ones, they are a tad expensive):

It should have voice control on it, hold down the center button on the remote. Between the - and + for a few seconds and you will hear two beeps. Then just tell it what you want to do.
Give that a go. Play a song and hold that button or your home button and say something like "Skip track" or "Play songs by metallica"

Same with me tried to watch Wallace & Gromit and turned it off after 10 minutes. I've a few dvds pilled up not going to watch them this year. Gives me more time to squeeze in Skyrim which i've barely played lately.

Disappointing fact for everybody: Hugh Laurie was in Stuart Little.

I got a pair of SkullCandy headphones in HMV for around 30 euro that does the job. If you get them, get the one's for are optimized for iPhone as the have a little control by the left headphone. Pressing the button once pauses the song, twice make it skip to the next song and 3 times makes it go back. They're very handy headphones

The ipod touch i got just came with the usb cable and regular-ass earphones!Oh well. Cheers for the link but i'll never buy another set of apple earphones again. I splashed out and bought a ~€70 apple pair to replace my 50 euro sony ones and it was so awful! Not to mention the headphone wire was a bright white and odd rubber....not for me at all!

Cheers - i'll try that, although my phone will be in my pocket when out and about! Definitely worth a try though :)

Coo, i'll consider them when my current earphones die. Might double as earmuffs too! :pac:

2012 is on rte in the next few days a waste of two hours in a word Dreadful. 1-1 with Blackburn, FFS does it ever end. Reading Power Slam's PS50 some amount of Talent in it outside WWE/TNA.

My favourites are Titanic 2 and Mega Piranha. I love watching them at 3 in the morning with my mates laughing at the many, many flaws and how bad the acting and script is.

Anybody here watching The Walking Dead? Got it off the missus for Christmas. Watched the first episode and it's absolutely class.

ha, yeah it's great. I'll spoiler-tag this stuff as they're halfway thru S2 in the states. I'm a big fan; was also very quickly into the first episode :D

I love the gritty look and the whole premise (and since it's a TV show we can have more adventures than just in a film). I have to say though, the first season
suffers from leaning too heavy on the wafer-thin characters; it does get a bit too boring in places. I know that actually surviving in a zombie apocalypse would be boring for the most part...That said, any time there's a zombie on-screen it's really compelling stuff...

They just finished the first half of season 2 in the states; really enjoyed it, only complaint is that it really, really slows down in the middle - the season starts off with a bang, slows down, and ramps up again; like a well curve. Was surprised that i found myself caring about the characters much more this season. My favourite character is Daryl, the hyuck with the heart of gold
    :pac:

I want to check that spoiler but then I don't really want to at the same time.

Anything with zombies and I love it. Massive fan of Romero's Dead films, and the likes of 28 Days Later, and the Crazies.

What i wrote had no story spoilers, just a general overview of trends, i spoilered it just in case you want to go in completely fresh!

Ya, same, i know it's popular now but i've always been a massive zombie fan. Anything with zombies and i'll give it a watch. Like I don't care how bad the film is!!

On an unrelated note, put a load of books on my mom's kindle, one of which was How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse, flicked thru it, then went to bed. Damn Zombie Dream! It was long aswell! There were about 4 groups of people and i was head of a group. Started off with a zombie swarming our 'camp' (glass houses out in the open) We crossed a hilled terrain (which would've been great if we dug a ditch around it) and finally into a mental asylum where we had to congo-line/walk like zombies as there were zombies there on a circuit....there was a zombie-exclusive line not really walking (which'd head to the outside - could've pushed them off a cliff at the right time) and they were about to get wise to all of us, nobody wanted to get in front of or behind them....time was running out) then i woke up!
