The 2008 racism accusations between Evra and Chelsea's groundstaff when this same FA said about that case - "we find Mr. Evra's account exaggerated and unreliable".

Go figure, eh? And now it appears they've convicted Suarez on his word alone. :pac:

The FA are a right bunch of you know whats.

Evra never made that accusation. In fact Evra claimed he never heard any racist remarks. Shame on you

    It's clutching at straws.

The silly side of it the FA have now set dangerous precedent.

Can you imagine the can of worms if Suarez accused Evra of being racist?

Will England's captain receive such a ban? I doubt it.

Suarez will never live this down. He deserves a ban if he was racist but I do imagine there is another agenda here at play.

And I'm pointing out Suarez has a right to appeal, even the FA admit that so the case isn't over. I'm assuming the club has a little more information than us posters on Boards too!

But Im aware he has the right to appeal, you didnt need to make that point

You seemed confused as to why Kenny was being called a hypocrite so I tried to explain it for you. Thanks all the same I guess

There is no way terry will avoid it now.He has to get the same punishment or more

On the balance of severity of the remark and evidence he should receive a worse ban.

Because an appeal is part of the process.

To use the murder histrionics of earlier, the Birmingham Six are still guilty, the appeal is irrelevant. Thats the stupid logic you are using.

It reminds somewhat of the time Eduardo was hung out to dry for us for diving against Celtic. It's just so very easy at times for the media to pick a convenient criminal when it's decided that a particular issue needs campaigning.

nope, your either deiberately or unintentionally misunderstanding me

Are you sure he can appeal the verdict by the way? Can he definitely appeal that or just the severity of the punishment??

I would have thought he would be able to appeal the verdict but Mr.Alan has said something different so ill have to look into it

Aye, and the FA completely reversing their position on appeal

I don't really get the hypocrisy, the case isn't over, a verdict has been issued, but its not the final verdict. I don't see how this is arguable unless people are being extremely semantic about what Kenny said.

Its a bit of a joke if he can only appeal the sentence. Basically the FA are right, its just a matter of how right.

There is no way the 8 game ban will stand
i think it will be reduced to 3-5 on appeal

I thought that, but then why would he be allowed play against Wigan. Surely if the FA are right than there has to be atleast a one game ban as punishment.

Doesn't make sense to me. So basically whatever the FA find isn't open to challenge, just the severity of the ban.

If i was a manager of a team I would not buy a player that is prone to react to what they are called on the pitch.A player should know better by the time they get to play in the PL.
Unless it is about their family.

From reading the official statement it does seem he can appeal the actual decision as I would have thought originally

So by these rules anyone caught abusing players on the field(non racial) should get a 4 match ban, has any player ever got a 4 match ban before.

You're working under the mistaken illusion that the FA take previous precedent into account when they make decisions. History tells us they don't. Ask Rio Ferdinand. Or Fergie. How managers have beend banned for saying something nie about the referee since Fergie was I wonder?:pac:

Players are also not allowed to swear at officials anymore either for the last while, the whole respect campaign etc.... Yet you will see players do it in practically every single match

lol, just saw that ruling there. What an absolute load of twaddle. Whatever.

So you would not have signed Rooney, Suarez, Cantona, Keane, Shearer, Wright, Fowler or Reina to name a few?

It would be interesting to hear what Evra called suarez because if indeed he refered to him as a south amercian hasnt he broken the same rules as Suarez.

In the event of any breach of Rule E 3(1) including a reference to any one or more of a person’s ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual orientationor disability (an “aggravating factor”), a Regulatory Commission shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction.
