And in every case, the mods close it down if the response is in any way critical of solicitating prostitutes.

Here's the deal, what goes on between consenting adults is nobodys concern but their own. If there is any doubt about the consent bit, it shouldn't happen. An obvious pimp in the vicinity would be a strong indication that consent might be absent.

It's something they only usually talk about to other lads who do the same or don't judge and it's definitely not something that's normally brought up in conversation when there are girls present. And I don't judge either the customer OR the prostitute. It makes me a bit depressed to imagine myself using one but who cares? It's not my cup of tea, doesn't mean it can't be someone else's.

Personally, the idea of being with someone and having it in your head the entire time "She doesn't actually fancy me at all, she's just doing this for the cash" is utterly, mind numbingly depressing. I don't see the joy in it, if anything it's a dent to the ego. But maybe some people just don't see it the way I do. Nothing wrong with that.
