[CoD MW3] - Megabitch Thread

Not to put too fine a point on it but MW3 is the most unfinished CoD game at time of release.

Spawns: When you spawn into bullets on levels completely different sizes such as Dome and Bakara, there is something fundamentally wrong with the game.
Connection: Adding in advantages for players with low pings just adds to the inconsistency and is potentially ripe for abuse. That's without matches having no host and constant low level lag. It's a real indictment that an old game like CoD4 be still the best in the series with regard to connection.
Matchmaking: This is all the more galling coupled with the above connection issues; we play against other Irish people and the connection is abysmal. If people who live in proximity to each other have poor connections then there is sod all hope. I wonder if the locale search options for matchmaking were pulled as they realised their blunder.
Theatre Mode: Ignoring it supposedly causes additional lag, but it's far worse than Black Ops by some margin. Whenever I've used it the games, are just like freeze frames spliced together.
Hit Detection: Again Black ops was bad for dying around corners. Coupled with the connection issues, it's far and away less precise. I'm sure we all saw game winning killcams that were 100% headshots not given and I got the 1 bullet 2 headshots with 1 Headshot only.
Glitches: Never has a single CoD game had so many in such a short time span.

This job advertised in February obviously never got filled:

New Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer is aiming for a "bug free" first outing in the COD franchise.

The standard is set in a job listing advertising for a quality assurance tester, which also sets a goal for review scores above 95 percent.

The ad reads: "The candidate will help Sledgehammer Games deliver a 95+ rated Call of Duty game 'bug free' meeting the high expectations of gamers today."
This comes after PlayStation 3 Black Ops players found their online experience littered with bugs, so much so in fact that Activision suffered the wrath of a pressure group claiming the publisher was using PS3 players "like game testers".

PS3 owners themselves petitioned Activision for a refund back in November. They got a series of patches instead.

Sledgehammer was revealed as the developer assigned to the "next Call of Duty game" in another job listing last month.

Reports last month suggested that Sledgehammer is working alongside Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare 3.

FFS sake! I was in Wall-Mart last week and saw and end shelf with dorritos and montain dew with MW3 characters plastered on the packs and just though it was weird seeing as the game has been out a month or so now? Maybe it was just old promo packs, had no idea thay had double xp codes. Would bought packs and packs of them and jotted down the codes had I known that!! Dammit

I'm just gonna complain about one thing: Quick Scoping. I ****ING ****ING ****ING hate this exploit, and thats what it is, an exploit, with a passion. They'll fix map exploits all day long but leave in this one?? **** off.

Nerf the rifles or get rid of the quick scoping, its a ****ing disgrace. Black Ops was horrible to play but at least the quick scoping wasn't there.

Use an ACOG or Red Dot like everyone else. If this is their way of deterring camping, I'd much prefer the camping.

IMO, sniper rifles are support weapons and with their power running around getting these one shot kills is unbalanced. The Dev's should've added some sort of counter balance to rifle power when moving and quick scoping.

They shouldn't, but in general, if you're sniping on this game, you're more than likely going to be in a situation where you'll have to quickscope or pull out you're secondary at least once or twice regardless of map.

Is it just me, or is there way more camping in MW3 than your average FPS?

^ lol, that happens to me all the time. It usually takes me at least a full game to stop doing it.
