Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No, the code's only used to unlock the phone. Guess S/he's just being supersafe. :D

    Yeah, I'd no idea whether it was any nefarious use or not so I was being paranoid. Same reason I wear the tinfoil hat - people say I'm crazy but the black helicopters have stayed away so far :D

    Stick a sim from a different network into the phone and enter 47203152 as the unlock code.

    Seems to have gone now.

    When I click to buy, says product not found. :(

    Was going to get one each for my technophobe parents as a way of being able to mms them for free via Whatsapp or viber (they're in the north)
    Would prob have unlocked phones/flashed different ROM add spoon as purchasing.

    Plan B so.

    I find the 3G on this really poor, constantly lose 3G coverage and wait for the arrows to come back on the 3G/H icon.. it was so bad last night, I ended up having to use wifi. :(

    It is okay on wifi but 3G constantly drops. I am guessing it is the firmware..

    Not any stock phone, no. That code is specific to WarZoneBrother's handset, but every handset has its own code.

    Anyone have any problems using this phone abroad? I unlocked it and was using with Meteor for months with no problems. Moved to Australia a month ago and it stopped working when I stopped over in London. Thought it might be the airport scanners messing it up - or is it possible that it's geoblocked or something? The phone won't turn on at all now. Really want to get it working over here!!

    If you don't fancy going through the hoops with xda-developers, you can get it unlocked via email online at www.fastgsm.com for $20(US).Takes about 40 mins.to get your code via the email.

    I have one of these as an xmas gift for a mate, stuck CM7.1 onto it and it really is astonishing for the money. I've been using it myself for the last two days as my main phone is in repair and I can honestly say i've hardly missed my €500 phone! Amazing :D

    But a question - does anybody have a link for the usb drivers on their own? I know they come as a side effect of installing kies but that is an 85 mb download and actually crashes on most XP machines i've tried to use it on - I have usually ended up uninstalling just the kies bit which leaves the drivers installed. For various reasons I need a small, usb only download that I can point people towards. Anyone ever seen Samsung offer that download?

    One of the guides in the thread has a link to a rar/zip with adb shell and drivers.

    I had a feeling i'd seen it somewhere! Much searching later, it's in this early guide (note for anyone coming fresh to this thread, this link is NOT current, there is a much better way of unlocking, see the links comment at the start).

    Again for people coming to this afterwards, I am not 100% sure those drivers are ok, I am just posting this to save people doing the same search I did. I will uninstall kies etc, install those drivers and see if I can connect in debugging mode to the phone and will report back.
