Did you clear him out?? :P Shop is gone.

Hmm weird. Looks like they closed up the shop.
Might just be a temporary thing.

It's a bug (probably only on the Irish site). There's been a few times where sellers in the UK that I've contacted have mentioned browsing their other listings and I see nothing, whereas they have no problem viewing their own or others listings.

So I was watching a gameboy light auction on eBay and it ended at 6am this morning. There was already 13 bids on it so last night I threw in my max and hoped for the best. Sure enough no one else bid on it and I gots me a gameboy light and a game for €40 posted!

    Well done you!
They are a fantastic addition to any Gameboy fan, rare enough too!
Now, if only there was a way to get a Gameboy Micro.... Hmm.... ;)

    You don't have a micro?!

Unfortunately it's not in the condition I would have liked. (a few dead pixels at the bottom of the screen, sticker ripped off the back and even a hole drilled into it to put charms and dangly things on that Japanese people seem to love putting on their portable electronics) But still comes with harvest moon so a nice buy all the same!

No I was being funny to hint at the availability of a Gameboy Micro over in the trading section of our fair forum. ;)

I would, but I already have a pink one :P

Got another batch of GBA SP's the other day.
I might stick a couple of them up for trade or on adverts as 2 is enough I think.
They are just 001's and not 101's, but still nice.

Namco Arcade Stick just arrived today, box is a bit scuffed but I don't care about that. Stick and buttons all work great, I'm really only going to use it for PS2 shmups. :)

Put that box in a safe deposit box, getting a boxed Namco stick is super rare!

Nice stick though. It's the only stick I will use on my PS2 too.

Looks superb that stick, Namco make some great stuff, or rather did.
Aside from the JogCon controller they made for Ridge Racer Type 4 on the PS, the controller that makes you sustain injuries using it!

I have the NegCon and the Volume controllers in addition to the Namco arcade stick. Love their controllers. :)

Not exactly rare but I popped into the local xtravision which is usually crap for games and got some decent second hand stuff. Got Chronicles of Riddick (10 euros) for the PS3. Hadn't played the original but been meaning to give it a go so this will do, although I really hated starbreezes the Darkness so we'll see. Also got Siren Blood Curse (15 euros). Love the Siren games and you don't see this very often so chuffed. Also got Folklore (10 euros) for PS3, I heard it's a bit of a hidden gem and I can't say no to a game with such dodgy Oirish accents set in the mythical world of 'Lemrick'. The back of the box however makes the game look more like a fantasy game and not the hack and slash gangsta epic starring the legendary Tupac O'Halloran (an actual person from limerick, ask Sera if I'm lying).

And then something retro as well and a biggie for me.

Goemons Great Adventure (NTSC/US N64) which marks the last hard to find N64 game I need to find. Only 3 more games on my list to get and they can all be gotten for peanuts.

I played the first version of Riddick on the Xbox and thought it was great, but then I liked ODST so nothing I say carries any critical weight anymore :(

I was mooching around the Balbriggan market on Sunday and it sucked, plenty of original Xbox's oddly enough, a few PS2's, tons of PS2 games though, and I have them already :(

It seems that PS1 games are becoming rather rare at the market and only once every two months or so am I seeing 16bit or earlier stuff.
May give the market a rest for a while, perhaps call again closer to Christmas, we'll see.

Should have the GB Marioland series tomorrow, can't wait! I will have the AGS-101 charged up and ready to rock for the occasion!

I don't want to piss on your chips, but have you noticed the way your stick is positioned on the box that the SONY logo actually looks like it says ANUS?

    I mean WTF?

Got to be a smack in the puss for that kinda act on someones deep fried potato slices!
Now, were it "crap on your spice burger" I'm doubting many would notice the change in flavour!

Got a few SNES bits off of the ebay today.

A boxed console, which is in great condition with all the documentation and no discolouration either. The box is in really good nick as well.

Came with a load of boxed games, 16 to be precise. Or wait is 19 a more accurate figure? Damn you Mario All Stars!

Limited edition Street Fighter Turbo with everything
    Mario Kart
    Mario All Stars
    Super Marioworld
    NBA Jam
    Donkey Kong Country 1
    Donkey Kong Country 2
    Donkey Kong Country 3
    Mortal Kombat
    Super Bomberman
    Micro Machines
    Killer Instinct
    Pilotwings
    Zombies
All have manuals and are all UK pal games. A lot even still have the plastic for carts in them.

    And in the final picture?
2 more awesome games! The best SNES games I picked up yet and whats more, they are fully boxed with everything.

I received these three shirts today. I had them custom made by a SHMUP fanatic. Stare at them too long and you'll feel like your retinas have been smashed with a toffee hammer! :D

I got a box of first edition Terry Pratchett books the other day. I sniffed them, had no choice twas a strong smell, but they stank of ciggies.
    I didn't enjoy it.

Now that is a cool purchase!

Oh, got my Marioland games this morning, now I have a nice portable collection of Mario's platform adventures.

    Which is nice!

The warioland games are better :P

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 34,753 CMod ✭✭✭✭CiDeRmAn

Well I now have Wario on the GB, on the GC and on the VB.
So plenty to keep me busy.

And no, Wario isn't better than Mario games, now stop being silly Retr0!

I'm just trolling but I do think there's an argument that the GB and GBA warioland games are better than the SML games, definitely way better than SML1 anyway. I'm on the look out for the third GB games since I have the rest.
