Wario blast is kinda crapola though. Well compared to the bomberman

I don't think anyone is saying wario blast is any good :)

I must get the Treasure developed Gamecube game as well.

I could never get into the Wario games at all.
The mechanics are totally different from the Mario titles, or so it seems to me anyways.
Super Marioland was great in its day but since then it has aged badly.
The timings in the game and the visuals are all very very limited compared to the sequel which seems a much better approximation of the Snes and Nes series.

Its a pity they never got to make a VB Mario in the style of Marioland 2.

    I wonder if they'll create a 3d classics version of SMB3?
With a surely superb conversion of Kirby on the way for the 3ds its surely a must, no?

No. I'd much prefer a 3d effort of super star soccer, only the classics should get the 3d treatment

The whole point of the first 4 warioland games was that they subverted the whole platform genre :)

I know the games were supposed to be some sort of tonic to the traditional platformer hero, but I just didn't like it.
Wario never appealed to me until Wario Ware Inc changed the game forever.
Still one of the most played carts on any system in my collection.

And, apparently Warioware Twisted, that few have played, is coming to the 3ds, with the tilt dynamics rewritten for the new consoles internal gyro sensor...
    which is nice!

Just got a job with the local auction rooms so if there's anything collectible any of you are looking for let me know and I'll send you links of the item!

Havn't found anything decent yet and the only electrical stuff I'v found has been old valve radios and a lot of cameras.

Strongly thinking of leaving this sealed, selling it when I'm about 70 & buying a small island in the shape of a triforce

Not to rain on your parade but I can only assume that the only person who would pay that much money for a 40 year old sealed skyward sword would be so rich that he/she would already own the tri-force shaped island you wanted for yourself.

I don't want to tell you what to do but you might enjoy playing the wii game more than the waiting game:)

Oh right, not to mention the fact there's no triangle islands either. Well thats my dream well & truly shattered.

I imagine you'd be better off buying a copy of Klonoa or Sin & Punishment 2 if you want a nice little earner in the future.

I am getting a strong suspicion that the next generation is going to be mostly downloads, spelling certain doom for future retrogame lovers.

And that read "retrogame lovers" not "Retr0gamer Lovers" which is a long way to say "Sera" ;)

Has she gone near him and his stinky infected pits?
Need more than a splash of Lynx to get the ladies near that pit of infection (pun intended)!!

Oh if only there were a way to play it without opening it, what's this 'procuring' thing you always manage to do? :D

Obviously mass produced, but target games like this won't be potential retirement fodder...but one things for sure it'll never devalue

or you could do a highlander by searching for and destroying every other copy of Skyward Sword that you can find. The more you destroy the rarer your own copy becomes...

I like your train of thinking, maybe I'll get that island after all.

Another thing I'm actually mulling over is playing the game on the pc via dolphin, to see it scaled up to HD. A lot have mentioned the only let down with the game, are the SD graphics. I never bothered to get the Wii component cable yet...is it worth it?

Yeah, Nintendo, unless it turns out they are sponsoring Pedobear or something, will have a Disney style profile in Europe, as players of their consoles get older and they, hopefully, keep producing quality hardware and software.
Nintys games will be classics and those that own the originals, as well as hardware to play them on, will be lauded as gods.... or not, but maybe...

I am having massive problems with my Wii still, the picture colours flicker, the screen tears in black and after a few seconds comes back.
I have tried changing the video setting but I really have no idea what the frak is going on.
    Is the tv?
    Is it the Wii?
    Am I going slightly mad?

If you've played a PS2, Xbox or GC on an LCD then you get the same thing. I'm not bothered by it at all and it's slightly improved with Component. Best way to play it though is RGB on a CRT.

TBH I don't really see what all the moaning is about.

Ah but my CRT is 4:3. Your right though I guess, it cant be any worse than last generations display quality. Though it does look like the kind of game where to play in natively in HD would definitely add to the experience.

The moaning in that case, is a masterpiece of a game being let down by its native console. I'm sure once you get rolling though, you forget about all of that. Gonna try wait till xmas

Ciderdude - it might be your graphics chipset overheating. There was a problem with Wiiconnect24. It tried to connect too often and overheated the system. After a while it affects the graphics chip and basically destroys it.

Normal onset of this problem is black dots appearing around the screen. From what I've read they're basically empty pixels the Wii is unable to produce because of the fault.

Eventually it gets so bad that you turn it on one day and there'll be no picture.

If it is that, your Wii is ****ed. Only option is to send it to Nintendo to be fixed at a cost, or buy one of those new mini Wiis coming out in December!

Going to disconnect the interweb so on the Wii, see if it helps at all, probably well borked at this stage :(

Just have to find a little used preowned machine with just the right firmware in the new year and... interfere with it... Mwa hahahaha!

I've given it a go on the emulator (I own the game as well) but haven't got the settings just right yet as some of the game looks a little off.
It's just a matter of playing around with the options and I'm sure I'll get it right.

Here's a vid of how it looks for me at the moment.

Looks very well. Some of it might be getting the settings correct, & there could also be issues with the emulation too [though Wii emulation is damned good]

You can play Wii games on the PC now?

Christ, i've been out of the loop with emulators.

The most latest gen console I've played emulated is the PS2 with PCSX2.

Yep, not only can you run them, you can run the textures and things in much higher resolutions so they look far better than they do on the Wii.
