You can blame it on the sunshine, and you can blame it on the moonlight, but dont blame it on the buggy..

Were there buggy clampers prowling the aisles?

This is all a far cry from a few years ago when the Mums used to phone Joe to complain about delayed flights during day trips to Santa's Grotto in Lapland.
According to the Newstalk Business show, 150,000 Irish people are heading to New York this year to do their Christmas shopping, which is quite surprising.

Funny how my mention of a pub translated to you that I was talking about Brian, isn't it?

    :P

    :)

I won't say much for Biffo, except there is no chance he would have brought in a ban on below cost Alcohol.

I guess RTE are trying to deflect attention from their own fiasco.. I'd say Ronan Mullen and the other Senators would LOVE the chance to turn the tables on RTE in their own little kangaroo court..

I kind of feel sorry for Aoife Kavanagh.. She's a nice woman, who certainly made a HUGE mistake.. I'd say she's under some pressure, and is gonna have some job trying to save her career..

she works for RTE , shes practically a public servant , you would have a better chance of removing sepp blatter from head of FIFA

Why the hell do people pay to go to these shows? Haven't they learned anyhting from listening to LL the past few years?

Thats what I want to know. For 25 quid you could take the kids around the toy shops, and feed them, and bring them to some kind of an event.

Undercover cops? What? Deep fat fryers? Is this Del boy on the radio?

So you complain about the queues for Santa and then complain that Santa only spends a minute with each child?

    No pleasing some people.

Why pay in to a ''toy show'' when you could just go to.... a toy shop?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

This is the equivalent of somebody wanting their money back because the film they chose to see wasn't to their liking.

Its not that surprising. Between the weak dollar and the low tax. I was in NY in January on business and it was bargain central. Back when it was 1 USD = 1 euro, things were cheap. Its now 1 USD = 74 cents. Get some cheap flights, stay in a Holiday Inn, taxi to mall, taxi home, buy all the christmas pressies, and you would drop the same kind of money in a weekend in Dublin, if you add it all up.
