Same plan as me then! Doves would be excellent, inspiral carpets....meh. I wouldn't count on the roses doing any further dates, reni didn't look too up for it. If you want to see them, get over to manchester.

After much gnashing of teeth and swearing at computer, tickets for Saturday night secured. Mate has two for Sunday if anyone looking to trade for a Saturday pair so he can come with the rest of us. Trade only , not for sale. Don;t even want to think of the logistics of getting there and finding a bed for the night.

Kings of Leon this year the buses we excellent. No waiting straight in and out.
If tickets are going for such a price for the Manchester gigs I would imagine a lot of people would travel to Slane to see them from the UK

Really hope they are playing it now.

    .

they'd be much more suited to the picnic vibe :(

ah jesus! For the love of god not Oxegen!

I reckon the picnic has neither the capacity nor the purse for the Roses if it's the only irish gig they do, so if it's a festival tour they are doing and it looks like it is..... then Oxegen it is. Balls!

I'll be 38 next summer, i can't be going to bloody Oxegen!

They really would be. Imagine them closing the Sunday, what a way to round off the weekend that would be.

EP should really push the boat out to get them, It'd sell out.

Can't see it happening though. There's a long list of bands that would of got great, appreciative crowds at EP instead choosing to play to a few drunken, uninterested people at Oxegen.

I would love to see them do a single gig type thing as due to ill health I can't attend festivals but could go a night out to see them.

Would think if they sell enough tickets they may play some venues .. Browner has been doing that for years so maybe it will follow suit .. can only hope :)

My mrs saw the roses in their hay-day so I have to see them to stop her bragging rights lolz

Arcade Fire in 2010 being a great example of such.

and blur 2009, primal scream 2011, elbow 2009, the list is endless! stone roses would be much much better at electric picnic!

The Roses wont be at the EP. I know one of the people on the organising committee and in the past they have stated they dont want a huge act rather a number of smaller acts. This being that they do not have the capacity for all the crowd to go to one stage all at the same time. At the moment there is such a mix of different groups and activities so people all follow dofferent acts.

The hell with that. I'm about 20 years too old for Oxegen. I demand my comfy chair and my blanket. Booo!

You're never too old for Oxegen, I met an old hippie in his 50's there one year and he gave me the rest of his spliff ;)
