Black people call each other **** all the time, doesn't mean it's ok for whiteys to start doing it.

Maybe Ferdinand calls Evra "nig" or something like that "Waddup nig" that kind of thing.

Maybe Rooney calls him Nig as well, is that ok. Evra does have white team mates as well you do know that.

Suarez didn't say "ALL his team-mates" though.

Could be Welbeck and Ferdinand that all him that.

So Suarez is now admitting he said something and thats its a misunderstanding, wonder what Kenny thinks about that considering he said Evra was lying (Suarez is basically saying Evra is not lying).

So despite all of the sky cameras Suarez was able to say something uncaptured.
Not surprised to see you talking out your arse on here about this as usual.

Can you show me where Kenny directly said Evra was lying?

Suarez admitted he said something? Big swing of a mickey.
I'd be amazed and disappointed if he went the whole game without saying something.

Suarez also said he didnt say anything racial, but that hasnt stoped you from making up pure ****e, stop letting your hate of suarez cloud your judgement.

I'm sure Suarez would know if you called some a Nig it would seen as racist.

Evra said he called him a ******. Suarez is saying he didn't. So if Suarez is telling the truth, Evra is still lying. These few words change nothing

We always knew he said 'something' to him, everyone who saw the match saw the two of them arguing. That was never in dispute. Suarez calling him a ****** blatantly more than 10 times is what's being disputed by Kenny & Suarez.

So yes, despite all the cameras-according to Evra, Suarez was able to call him a ****** more than 10 times with nothing being picked up on camera or there being any witnesses in the crowded box. Still sounds as dubious as ever.

The sooner the FA quash this investigation & say there is no basis to it, the better.

So Suarez admits to saying something and your still in denial.

I told you your point about the cameras was stupid, but you banged on about it for weeks on end.

Well you were putting words in the mouth of Suarez saying he was calling Evra a nig, based on black people calling each other nigs.

    No I wasn't. I was putting forward a scenario.

You chose to read it like that, you choose to read everything from non-Liverpool fans as if it has an anti-Liverpool agenda, for some reason. It makes you look a bit paranoid, and unable to have a proper discussion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,222 ✭✭✭Sappy404

Lets just wait and see what the outcome is.

Suarez is saying he referred to Evra by a nickname. Evra is saying he was racially abused around ten times. There's a massive discrepancy there, enough of one for anyone to claim either party has lied about the initial incident.

The truth is we aren't any closer to knowing what happened. Until there's a proper investigation there's no point in speculating.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,117 ✭✭✭✭Leiva

If Suarez gave that interview then he is a numpty .

It might not be as ridiculous as Evras post match interview when he mentioned the 10times etc , but it's silly to be talking to the media whilst an investigation is on going .

But to say it's a admission of guilt is ridiculous .

I stood firmly in the middle on this one because it was obvious that something was said. We still don't actually know what it was.

I won't support racism against any other players from LFC players. But that's just because i'm not a small minded ****wit.

Who the **** is supporting racism, it's about supporting a liverpool player when they say they are telling the truth, if Suarez says he didn't racially abuse evra I believe him, that concept is lost on you, you are happy to pass your ****ty little comments about Lucas or rafa or Suarez.

he implied what he said could have been taken up as racist

    No he didn't?!

Yourself & others are really seeing what you want to see here.
So Suarez admits to saying something and your still in denial.

I told you your point about the cameras was stupid, but you banged on about it for weeks on end.

Suarez specifically denies he said anything racist.

It was never in dispute that he had a confrontation with Evra & words were exchanged. The whole world saw it!?

What was in dispute was that he continuously racially abused him more than ten times using a specific racist word.

That allegation is still as groundless as it ever was.

Well in fact, its less groundless now than when he originally made it as we now know that no United or Liverpool players heard this continuous racial abuse in a crowded penalty area & no TV cameras picked it up-despite it being the most televised club football match in the world.
I was under the impression that in an interview with canal plus Evra said he called him a bad word he could not repeat. He never actually said it was the N word? Although it is hard to imagine what it could be unless there is a French word it could of been or Spanish or something

No, he never said the word specifically although as you say, its hard to imagine what else it could be.
    Evra wrote:
“He knows what he said, the ref knows it, it will come out. I won’t repeat what he said, but it was a racist word, and he said it more than ten times."

    Although when you take into account he also said;
    Evra wrote:
"He tried to wind me up. I won’t make a huge deal out of it, but it’s very upsetting and disappointing."

    and....
    Evra wrote:
'There are cameras, you can see him say a certain word to me at least 10 times. No place for that in 2011.'

Not making a big deal out of it? Its difficult to imagine how he could have made a bigger deal out of it considering he ran to media saying exactly what was said & that there was proof of it.

It appears that it was a pretty straightforward attempt at a character assassination of one of the best players in the league, for which hopefully Evra will be made to apologise at a bare minimum.

Alan, do I have to a prick again to you ?

All along you've said there's no evidence that Suarez said anything, Suarez has come out and said he knows what he said that Evra is taking offence to.

It's a matter of interpretation now.

TV cameras and what Evra said about them are as irrelevant today as they were last week.

    You really are quite extraordinary.

I've discussed videos of the two players clearly in conversation on the pitch during the match. That they clashed & spoke was never in dispute to anyone, everyone who watched the game clearly remembers it. Evra got a yellow card as a result of their bickering iirc.

I think you should produce the posts where I said there was no evidence that the pair exchanged any words on the pitch or stfu tbh.

Not only did I acknowledge that the pair definitely spoke-I discussed the fact that Suarez could have said something very insulting to Evra about his wife/face/form/etc etc which prompted Evra to make up his allegations.

    You're **** talking.

    Again.

The TV interview and/or 10 times has nothing to do with the FA inquiry and or any guilt.

Just out of curiousity, how come when Kess (who has far more patience to deal with you than I ever would) explained in detail why the accusations Evra made through the media (including that there is evidence) were actually a huge deal with potential serious legal ramifications for Evra, you disappeared and never responded?

    1. I have a busy life.

    2. We shared a few PM's about it, since the Mods explicitly said they didn't want the conversation to continue.

    3. I hate to do this but, Kess was relaying information given to him rather than information he truly understood. He was overstating the importance of some things, and mistaking what could be defamatory and what couldn't. I explained to him why you were wide of the mark though.

    4. I'm legally qualified, it's a waste of time debating legal issues with people who don't understand them but still want to argue about them. It's a completely different mindset that's needed (which is why I'm so at odds with most on here)

    5. I don't see why you hate me, you could learn a lot from me.

You routinely prattled on about their being no evidence and how it was a disgrace that Evra would say there was evidence when there isn't blah blah blah.

Now Suarez himself has provided the evidence that something was said.

Evra said the TV camera clearly caught the continuous racist abuse.
That's what I took exception to.
    But you know that.

Again, just to reiterate, there was never an iota of doubt the pair had words during the match. It's the content & nature of them which is up for dispute.

OK, yeah, you are correct, I'm a Cypress Hill fan, and them guys aren't black, they are Latino, but they still use the word in their most famous song "Insane in the Brain". (A nígger like me is going insane, insane in the membrane, insane in the brain)

    Hmmm.
