Another thing, I thought it started at 9am and was all ready for that. Just realised an hour ago that it was a 10 start. Did it start at 9am other years or have I remembered incorrectly?

    4 stars (good)

I've come into Dublin to give a bit of support ! I'm in position, on parnell square, looking forward to the crowd coming by.

Good luck to all, and stay strong.

The effort will be worth it.

Yay, the streaming works. I've spotted some big balloons already.

Edit: Who are the blue balloons? One of them looks to be tangled in a lamppost already.

run and was surprised that the wind was so strong. Times I think will be well down for many.

    Best of luck to all!

'Don't expect to finish in under 4 hrs so their genuine fun runners' I don't think Tony has actually ever run a marathon.

fujker. 26 miles isn't fun even if you walked it.

Any chance you guys could post a few updates for a guy in work in England who can't (be seen to) watch the feed? Particularly want to keep track of how Sean Connolly, Andrew Ledwith and Maria McCambridge are getting on in their Olympic qualifying attempts. Very grateful!

Connolly the leading Irishman. A minute inside the qualifying time at about 6-7 miles.

Could really be on for a decent course time today, still a big bunch together and the hills mostly dealt with. Nothing to worry them from here on in other than a bit of wind and eating too many jelly babies, but I don't think the Kenyans know what they are.

Heard that alright - what a tool. And then listening to Sonia and Gerry saying how tough the course was in their day and that the women's Olympic standard is easy.

On my way in now to cheer everybody along so no more RTE thankfully.

It's annoying having to keep doing some work and answering phones so missing stuff. Coverage does actually seem pretty good though, certainly better than C4 were managing in Daegu. :)
