First time I've ever heard someone complain about Breaking Bad.. It's the greatest show on television by a long way. Bryan Cranston's character evolution is incredible, and he's quite deserving of his awards. If the final season is anywhere near as compelling as last season, it'll eclipse The Wire or The Soprano's or anything else, as the best U.S drama of All Time..

    come on now.

Shocked to hear anyone say a negative word against Breaking Bad or Dexter in general. I think they're two fantastically written dramas, getting both unanimous critical and audience praise. Absolutely sublime. Especially as Walter mentioned, the character transformation of Walt; this past season was incredible. The intricate plot, the reasoning behind everything, the unexpected which fits in wonderfully, the timing, the payoffs, the stunning cinematography and use of music, all beautifully done. Fair enough, horses for courses and all that.

Anyone know why, in general, videogame reviews use the 7-10 scale; that 5/10 isn't average game?

I suppose giiven the universal praie it has received, season 2 will have to be watched. But not straight away. Then, if I am not caught into it after 3 or 4 episodes, that will be that.

Dexter on the other hand. As mentioned, Plot wise and its basic premise is greta. I just cannot get past the awful, awful acting.

Anyway, for the record, with the day that is in it - Mickey D, Yes to Judges pay review, no to the other one.

Im astonished that you clainm to have given up on Dexter after 2 episodes.....in a 6 season show!!

FWIW Seaon 6 of Dexter so far is some of the best TV i have watched in a long long time!

Having watched The Wire, The Shield, Treme, Boardwalk, Sopranos etc BB is not even in the same category as the above.

For me, Cranston is an "over actor". His acting style is not in the least bit believable.

Have you ever tried Sons of Anarchy it is from Kurt Sutter (The Shield) very good imo

Seeing Cranston go from playing the goofy dad in Malcolm in the Middle to Walter in Breaking Bad is astonishing (hard to believe both played by the same actor, all credit to Cranston I dont think many other actors could pull it off)

As much of a fan of The Wire and The Sopranos that I am,I have no hesitation in stating that Breaking Bad surpasses both of them, not by much, but it does.

Everything about it is absolutely perfect, from the storyline, the evolution of the characters and most importantly, the acting.

That's the main reason I could never get into the Dexter, the acting is horrible for the most part, and it shouldn't even be compared to the likes of Breaking Bad/The Wire/Sopranos for that reason alone,in my opinion.

    Thanks dude. :)

I think thats partly to do with the Zen the regular posters give off from here, it really is a good rare thing in the world of the IWC.
Obviously the rest of boards (well, the admins certainly) see that.

Ah man you have to get saints row 2. If you like the humor and craziness circa Vice City, San Andreas you'll love it!

I do like the idea of saints row, bit more spontaneous carnage than gta4.
I never had any want to play number two if im honest, owing to the empty feeling of space*.
*May or may not make sense.

Pfft... I was modding the GTA forum before it was cool

    Congrats CMpunked :D.

I did play Saints Row 2 (and the first one, but really disliked it). SR2 was alright but I enjoyed GTA:IV a lot more. SR seems to just throw so much sh*t at the wall and hopes it sticks. There's so much to do in it that it almost makes it difficult to do anything right. I think if GTA:V throws in a little more crazy stuff and less realism, but doesn't go overboard like SR3 looks like it's doing, GTA:V could be a MAJOR game.

Plus GTA really needs to bring back gang members walking the streets who'll shoot you and drive after you if they don't like you. Some of my favourite memories are just cruising along when suddenly people start shooting at you and you think "OH SH*T! I'M IN CHINATOWN!"

I got the PM titled 'GTA forum' and thought "Uh oh. Looks like im in trouble again! :("
    :pac:

BOGT showed that 4 could have been a lot more fun, but stay realistic.
Also, that dlc gave us the best character in a gta game since vice city:
