My point is valid. You Dubs are only recently acquainted with fine dining.

I had bacon burger in the Galway Supermacs a few weeks back and I had to take the dried bits of dog food out...

There's nowhere but Shmacs open after a night out in Galway! That's the simple reason why everyone goes there.

I only have fastfood once in a blue moon but the few times I have been in supermacs there has always been an issue i.e the portions were laughably low,the food luke warm. Atleast with Mcdonalds you know what it is going to taste like before you go into the place. I think that could be alot of the attraction of the place.

so do supermacs in fact, alot of Pat McDonaghs profits are shipped to america under the trading name of his Irish Pub Franchise over there.Claddagh i think it's called.

I doubt you are in a position to say what Pat McDonagh does with his profits. Do you work for the company?
Its much more likely the profits are reinvested back in the company to pay for opening new stores and such

I went to McDs after a night out in Galway recently but it just wasn't the same. It's got to be S'macs. For soakage.

Note to Supermacs Limerick re chicken breast sandwich-provide staff with gloves when preparing food,
don't fry the chicken within an inch of carbon and sliced cheese should be melted and not served cold.E4.50:confused:

Supermacs Chips are way better than McD's.

And I can get a slice of pizza with my burger.

And I can get cheese on my chips.

Supermacs over McDonald's for me and I'm a Dub.

I think there's one thing we can all agree on. The chips in KFC are woeful.

Supermac's use to be all ''in'' but now I think it's just fading away slowly. In my opinion Burger King tops them all. McDonalds chips are too skinny and there food is genuinely not nice.

I think they're okay but you only get literally like 6 in a bag.

OP needs to come to the North West and treat them selves to a 'Big 4' from the 'Four Lights'.

aftre living in dublin for the last 6 years i laugh to myself when i see people go into mcdonalds or burger king after a night out for a munch, and i feel a slight bit of pity that they have no proper chipper to go to and get chipper food, which is so good after a night out! it baffles me also when i see people go inot some of the kebab shops around the city that i so often hear people saying are the nicest kebabs ever, when more often than not they are tiny and crap...when i go for a kebab at home, the kebab shop ask how big i want my bread for my kebab, which they are making fresh in shop all night, it does not fall apart on the bottom and i have never had the problem that i so often have in dublin from the poor quality kebabs of the kebab splitting on the under side from the sauce!

Weirdly enough my only memory of my trip to Galway a few years ago is of being in Supermacs.. It does kinda feel like that was the reason we went there.

Supermacs started in Ballinasloe in Galway in 1978, Ballinasloe famed for hosting the biggest horse fair in Europe, a coincidence I think not.

Actually its a good Irish success story and I would rather their food then Macs, its more filling.

KFC Chicken + Supermac's chips + Eddie Rockets Milkshake = WIN
Supermacs chips over Eddie Rocket's with their paprika-salty-stuff topping? Madness

Supermacs is grand. Not as good as KFC or Eddie Rockets but I've never had any problems with going there

There's no Supermacs in Wicklow or Wexford, those bastards in Carlow have one smelling up the place, though.
