On the Ballymun Road, the Bus Lane and Lane 2 are flooded. Only lane one is drivable. Some idiot tried to overtake, then realised he couldn't, then tried to pull back in and got stuck. Was sitting behind him for 20 bloody mins! It's dangerous sitting stationary in your car that close to Ballymun!

Cuts on the Luas too. Green line only from Beechwood outbound and red line fully gone, although may be unsure on red line.

There is life beyond the pale you know.

HAHA I was just about to reply to the other thread asking about DUBLIN radio stations in AH when I saw this update.

Anyway still dont see anything in the media about Dundrum shopping center. Hard to see from that pic above...

Another important lazy topic for Miriam O'Callaghan.

"Well then, Minister, you have been in power for six months, and now we have all this flooding.
What are you doing about it?"

Is that the Romanticism essay or the 20th Century Drama essay?

Neither, it's a Coming of age narrative essay, and am stumped on how to do it to begin with! Will try and just get it done tomorrow, because really don't want to go out in that.

I've been asked to post this.
People are ringing the Defence Forces looking for assistance (I'm on duty tonight), but until we're requested by the civil authorities (councils etc) or civil powers (Garda) we can not assist with sand bags etc.

At present we've troops out searching for a member of the public swept into the Liffey.

I can't post up this info with my account or I risk getting it in the neck here.

Simply put, people in distress must for ring their local council - if they require a rescue they must ring 112 (999) because we're powerless until the civil authorities (or powers) request it.

My own game of football was canceled, despite it being indoors. The road from M50 to westwood was like an absolute lake. Any alternative route I could think of involved driving through rivers.

I fear for my car. The oil indicator came on for 2 minutes after I went into (and reversed out of) the above lake, and my dims went out after a bad puddle in Cabinteely

It is really bad up around the back of Firhouse. I was visiting a friend there and I had to drive on a pavement, past a mini lake. Even though it is all hills there, it is the dips in the road around the housing estates that are treacherous.

I was nearly one of those people you see tomorrow in the paper on the roof of their car. :/ Water was up to the bonnet as I drove through.

Thank you all the Deities I prayed to as I just about managed to crawl through a mini lake.

Now I know why all those cars were stopped at the other side :o

The Dodder has seriously broken it's banks in D4 - I'm in the sweepstakes and the water is over a metre deep. At this stage the cars parked outside have water up to their windscreens and their alarms keep going off!

High tide is not for another hour!

I don't know if you've been reading the stuff on this thread, but it's a bit more than a bit of flooding.
