Wow... this is bad... even for a match thread...

Anyway, thought pool just shaded it and prob deserved the 3 points. Still a draw isn't the worst result for either team. No doubt who'll be the happier manager tonight though.

You had no problem at all marching into the DDG donut saga talking about how much he disgusted you and how you hate thieves until it was pointed out that you are in fact, a rotten thief and subsequently skulked away.

That wasn't stealing. I took advantage of a fortunate find. The old adage 'finders keepers' rings true in that situation.

He saw an old woman drop her money, so he picked it up and ran off.

That charge appears to hinge on evidence to be heard from Phelan, a key witness as Evra claims he did not hear any racist comments during the incident. Chelsea have consistently denied there was any racist element to Bethell's conduct.

Fergie didn't come for the draw, and whoever says that is talking through their arse.

The plan was to keep it tight for 70 mins and then introduce two of Nani, Rooney or Hernandez, score and win the game. It was all going according to plan until Giggs' horrendous error. A bit similar to when Liverpool were away to Arsenal and Dalglish brought Suarez and Meireles on, and won the game, remember?

Our last 3 visits to Anfield, we lost the midfield battle and lost the game from there. He was making sure that wasn't happening today so I could understand his tactics. The only thing that I didn't understand was leaving Rooney on the bench.

Ever since that game were O'Shea scored the last minute every time United have come to Anfield its been to try and contain earn a point or nick a winner from a set play.

It worked for that game and also the game were Tevez got the winner last 3 Liverpool won and then today it worked again and you got the point Fergie set out to get

Really? You know if you don't take the money the machine would of just swallowed it back up and credited his account back! Not really oppertunistic find it's proper stealing

(Sorry if it's sounds like that comment is directed at jayKay74 it's not)

Evra was an idiot for making that hand gesture, but anyone that thinks that is as bad or worse than diving needs their head examined.

Its stupid and he shouldnt have done it but diving is a lot worse. Its funny people would be okay with him making the diving gesture (which he did orginally) which means a yellow (I think, correct me if I'm wrong... if it doesn't it should) but as soon as he makes the card one to the ref everyones on top of him.

Regarding the game it was a great point for United as Liverpool got a lucky goal thanks to Giggs who was poor today. Pool were very unlucky not to grab a winner with a free header and two other efforts from Henderson and Kuyt(I think).

Liverpool shaded the game so I think a draw was a great result for United. Wins in the CL and against City would mean a very good start to the season with Vidic, Cleverly and Rafael to come back soon. Pool should reach the top-4 easy if they keep Suarez, Downing and Gerrard fit.

De Gea, Smalling and Rio were decent for United. I genuinely thought Gerrard deserved his MOTM.

Enrique was good overall but he lost and gave away the ball a few times. I'd have the above four in front of him for MOTM tbh
it was a good point for utd because getting a point from games like this is what wins leagues but to put a spin on Liverpool being lucky & not bad defending from utd is just typical,i suppose i could say utd were lucky to get their goal because Skrtel slipped

What I love about the last .gif is you see De Gea immediately giving out stink to Giggs.

you only highlighted a section of my post, where the next line read "Pool were unlucky".

Gerrard admitted it himself he meant to hit it over the wall and Giggs was poor in the wall. Can't Liverpool be lucky to have taken the lead because it was bad defending from United? Stating Giggs was poor = bad defending.

Why the fúck nitpick at my post when this is the only part of the post I said Pool was lucky.

Yet the 'racist abuse' was his defence for behaving like a thug at Stamford Bridge. Weird.

So the last 3 years United have tried to contain Liverpool at Anfield?

    2008/09 , 4-3-3 - Berbs, Rooney , Tevez up front
2009/10, 4-4-2 - Berbs and Rooney up front
2010/11, 4-4-2 - Berbs and Rooney up front

You dont play with 4-4-2 to contain . . You do what Liverpool have been doing for over a decade and squeeze the life out of the game with a blanket 5 man midfield.

Oh no, what about Ireland? 4-4-2 has changed from an attacking formation to a primarily defensive formation.

    Have a look here

    And with that...I'm out!

    Great second half today
Pool shaded it and it was a great point for United
    Hope Suarez wasn't racist
Delighted for De Gea and Chico
Looking forward to Vidics and Cleverlys return

Enjoy the weekend and be good

Comparing a United team that goes at teams most of the time with Berbs and Rooney with an Ireland team that never attacks with Keane and Doyle . . LOL . .

I should of qualified it , United dont play with 4-4-2 to contain teams.

United havent defended at Anfield since the O'Shea winner, point = fail . .

Ironically he was up in arms at the De Gea donut story a few weeks back. He was outraged. Lock him up and all that. :)

Its not stealing if you're not caught Bam Bam, hope you dealt with the guilt alright ;)

Happy days then when Liverpool won those last 3 that was United at their best and Liverpool ran over them. Not bad performances from United like we have been led to believe as they played a different game plan.

Those games Rooney started he played back in midfield hence he went missing in all of them

I take it with your response you accept you were actually wrong.

Rooney has played the same position for United for the last 2 seasons and nobody suggests that United play a defencive formation. If I were you I would just let this correction go . . You were wrong, united have not gone to Anfield to contain in a long long time before today.

Today for 70 minutes we made a full strength Pool team look ordinary with quite a few reserves playing, away too.

    Happy days indeed. ;)

sorry Trilla didnt mean to nitpick was just trying to highlight difference between luck & bad defending but if was other way round i would probably say it was luck as well & yes Gerrard did say he ment to hit it over the wall
