Also just as a sidenote, first time ive been on the kop for a Liverpool/Utd game in more than 10 years and i was surprised by the lack of atmosphere given the importance of the game and the opponents. Guess it's a sign of the times not sure but not great all the same.

This was across the board in the 3 premier league games that was on tv today it seemed. Citys game felt like there as nobody it and you could hear the Chelsea and Everton players on the pitch plain as .

Quick question, was there a the few gob****es singing "lying on the runway"?Or whats the song Pool fans sing that has the same tune to that (or "part of Jackies army" "whos that twat from Argentina")

Think we played really well, controlled the game, not that it was hard to do so,seeing as they came for a point, which they eventually got.
    Don't get this at all.
The team was set up to stifle the Liverpool midfield that controlled the game last time out.
There's a world of difference in cautious tactics and parking the bus.

Fergie didn't come for the draw, and whoever says that is talking through their arse.

The plan was to keep it tight for 70 mins and then introduce two of Nani, Rooney or Hernandez, score and win the game. It was all going according to plan until Giggs' horrendous error. A bit similar to when Liverpool were away to Arsenal and Dalglish brought Suarez and Meireles on, and won the game, remember?

Our last 3 visits to Anfield, we lost the midfield battle and lost the game from there. He was making sure that wasn't happening today so I could understand his tactics. The only thing that I didn't understand was leaving Rooney on the bench.

1-1 was a fair score in a pretty dire game. I think Blatter above has summed it up nicely. Fergie has no comprehension of parking the bus or playing for the drw. he deserves credit for recogniing that we got hassled out of it in the middle of the park last season and taking measures to ensure it never happened today.

Stunning display from DDG - people have been talking about him losing us points when in reality I don't think he has cost us any and he definitely gained us one today. Some top drawer saves at the death in particular. Was very priud of how he stood up in one of the most intimidating away venues we play in. Smalling as well was very good and I'd have made him or DDG MOTM.

I don't really give a sh*t about debating who's worse at diving - it was and has been present in both squads over the years and always will be.

What I would say is that Adam deserved to be booked for his role in winning the free - not for cheating but because a man of his size could seriously injure someone by belly flopping to the ground in the way he did.:pac:

Happy with the point overall - we have now played Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and gained 10 points from 12. Ticking along very nicely. Another positive result from City next week and that'll be a really good return from top 6 fixtures in the first half of the season.

Adam isn't fat. He is strong and muscular.

Also never write a player off becuase of a bit of puppy fat; Fergie once said of a certain Kenny Dalglish afer watching him play as a youth, 'That wee fat lad will never make it.'

He's only 13 stone for fúck sake. That isn't fat or relaxed muscle or whatever term you wish to mock the lad with.

Jones seemed to be given the task of marking Adam, did okay though Adam probably won that, Jones didn't offer much in the way of attack. Then again Kelly did a great job on Young, the big danger man for me with Nani and Rooney not on. Park is limited, so once Young was kept quiet, that was that really!

Before anyone slates me I personally didn't hear the fans singing this

And why does Kenny Cunningham think United played 5-4-1? Because Jones played midfield???

Interesting to see what happens with this story. Was wondering alright why Evra was raging so much when he got booked. The guy who tweeted it works for Canal Plus in France. Any previous for this kind of thing for Suarez I wonder:confused:
    DarrenCanalPlus
Patrice Evra accuses Luis Suarez of making racist remarks 'to try to wind me up' during #lfc-#mufc. Tonight on #CanalPlus, 22.35.

    DarrenCanalPlus
Evra on Suarez: 'There are cameras, you can see him say a certain word to me at least 10 times. No place for that in 2011.' #lfc #mufc

    DarrenCanalPlus
Evra expects action to be taken regarding his Suarez racist comments accusation: 'The referee is aware of what was said.' #lfc #mufc

Problem is nothing is ever done about racism in football anyway.

I did predict he's be the most hated player in the PL within a calendar year though. I'm right a lot.

    None.

There is however "previous" for Evra crying "RACIST!" when he has a run in with someone.

    Funnily enough

Suarez lashed out and caught Evra on the knee. He should have been sent-off or at the very, very least booked.

Thats crazy. Some people seem to lose touch with reality watching a game

Disagree , we got Adebayor , Suarez wouldnt get in our team.

It's bizarre that he says the ref was aware of it, wouldn't that be an unquestionable red card offense?

It'd be a definite red card offence.

    Evra is mentally unstable.

    It's worth remebering that.

Had to work today so only got to listen on the radio.
Got home and just watched the most biased highlights package I've ever seen in my life on Premier Soccer Saturday.

I know it's no secret that Peter Collins is a big Liverpool fan, and of course Ray Houghton is a "red legend" but bloody hell that was shocking television.

At the end peter Collins summed up the game by saying; "So only a point then for Liverpool...coming up after the break..." No mention of anything that didn't relate directly to Liverpool. You could almost forgive it if we were watching a Europa league game against the fourth placed side in the Azerbaijan league. I'm sure there are a few of us out there in telly land who might have an interest in a team other than Liverpool, maybe even the champions of England that they were playing against today.

I know Liverpool are the best supported side in Ireland by a mile but it's amazing how bad the standard of punditry on RTE is once you drop below Giles, Dunphy and Brady. I can't imagine the three lads of the "A" panel being so one sided in their analysis. It was only a step away from the panel refering to Liverpool as "we".

As for the game, the usual Liverpool v United stuff, ie Liverpool over pefroming and United under performing a draw was a fair result.

The agenda here is really just beyond stupidity,
None of us know what happened one way or another, but plenty are happy to just hop in and speculate.

Berba your post is too moronic to even try deal with.
