Does any one know the pp for 2 aldi yellowfin sole I point them as 4pp each and I have seen people say 2 for 7pp and the skinny dolls blog says 2 for 6pp so can anyone help me out I dont have the box to pp them now :(

Can't help you with the yellowfin sole but you can't edit posts if they are a couple of days old, or could be 24 hours, just know that there is a time limit.

hey everybody, its been awhile since iv been here, been off the wagon completly since last april and managed to put on bout half of what i lost in the 1st 4 months of the year, but as of 2day im in a new job where my life has finally regularised a bit and i feel that im now ready to get the finger out and finally shift this weight!!! started 'being good' today and goin back for my 1st WI tomorrow evening. im not looking forward to steppin on the scales for the 1st time so officially see how much iv put bac on. when i was doin WW last winter the weight was comming off fairly slowly, which i suppose i a good thing, but this time id really like to get bac to where i was last april fairly lively! this time around my mum has agreed to do it with me, though im the only one going to the meetings bu its going to be good having her on board as she does all the shopping in the house so i know the ammount of tempting stuff bought will go waaaaayyyy down!!!
anywho, here we go.....onwards and downwards!!!

Hi Everyone, I'd like to join you. I have a 7 week old baby and during the pregnancy put on over 3 stone. I started ww at home 3 weeks ago and went to my first meeting last week. Had a WI today and was down 3. I am down 7 since I first started by myself. A long way to go and am hoping to get to my goal weight by february. Really hate being like this!! Looking forward to the journey

Joined last week and going to my first WI tomorrow. Slightly terrified! Stayed away from obviously bad foods (takeaways, chocolate, butter, fizzy drinks etc) but found it hard to keep my points in line. Anyway, at least I'm going and eating better than the last few months. Onwards and upwards!

Been a few weeks since I've been here too but all going pretty good tomorrow will be my 6th weigh in and I'm down 10.5lbs so far. The last week was pretty challenging, I got a bit of a head cold and we had lots of events in work so lots of sweets and cakes doing the rounds eeeeeek. That and my treadmill died so my exercise took a bit of a bashing. Still here's hoping for a STS

Well, I'm making the chicken pie this evening. Tasty, Warm and just what you need on a wild winter's night. I was a good girl and chopped up all my veg yesterday ready for the next few days. Signing my lease for my new home tomorrow night and then moving this weekend so I figured If I didn't prepare everything in advance then the Pizza man would be summoned :)

Hi, can you post the receipt for chicken pie, it sounds really good especially on this miserable day! Best of luck with the new house

It's in one of the weightwatchers books and I'm not near it so can't give exact measurements right now but basically I use 2 medium chicken breasts diced up really small, 2 carrots thinly sliced, 1 small parsnip, 1 large potato, 1 diced onion, 2 bay leafs and a chicken stock pot. I cook the chicken and onion in my wok, add 250ml of stock, the carrots and the bay leafs and let that simmer down until the stock is reduced down (About 10/15 mins on a medium to high temp). Some people add a bit of low fat cheese like philidelphia to this when the stock has reduced to make it creamy but I don't. In the mean time you should have peeled and boiled the potato and parsnip and you can make mash out of this. Remove the bay leafs from the chicken mixture and then pour it into 2 small pie dishes. Cover with the mash topping. I add a litle bit of low fat cheese shavings on top of this for a bit of extra flavour. Also, my boyfriend likes to have sweetcorn in his so you can also add that if you like. 5-7 minutes under the grill at a medium temperature and you have a very tasty and very warm pie. Nothing like it on a cold wintry evening :)

    Hi all,
going for my WI tonight, dreading it a little bit cos went 30 propoints over my weeklies. All was going well up until Saturday night boozing and the hangover that demanded to be fed all day Sunday! I couldn't fight it :-( Just wondering, has anyone ever gone over their weeklies and still lost weight.?..am being hopeful here. Reigned it in yesterday and today by sticking to my daily allowance so hoping that might save me... could this be true or am i being overly optimistic?

    Hi all,
Does anyone have any good suggestions for what to have with meat. For instance Pork chop for dinner tonight with Veg. I would like to have some mash or homemade chips but now the points are high in them. I know salads are an option. Does anyone have any gems that are low in points.

I'd go in with the assumption that your going to be up. At least that way you won't be setting yourself up for disappointment? Anything that follows good or bad you can deal with better. I guess then just be very good for the rest of the week so it's not a rollover. My body is always two weeks behind!! Best of luck!

Cous Cous or Bulgar Wheat are great, little points for bulk amount. Can be a little bland so it always needs some spicing up. I would eliminate other carbs though you just have to get used to smaller portions. I always aim for around 5 points for dinner in the evening. I find you can bulk things up like adding some turnip to my spuds, onion and courgette diced with my rice etc. Also I find carrot and turnip mash with mashed spuds as well good as I feel like they are extra spuds or Butternut squash chips with homemade potato chips. That way the portion of carbs I have with them never seems as small.

So this has probably being posted a million times. If i got 2/3 spuds and made mash with them. Just small spuds, not too big, how many points would that be. I can then add all the extra bits you suggested. Thanks for your help.

I was on ww a while back and had lost 3 stone on it, now back on it as from yesterday but the pro points take a little to get used to.

Thanks for the response, you are probably right, not the answer I wanted though :-D
Big weekend coming up this weekend too. I must be strong! So hard to have willpower when hungover though. Gonna get some low pointed snacks around the house in preparation and get some walking in. Thats about all I can do.

By the way, pesto mixed with cous cous is NOM! you only need a small bit. I eat it with cajun chicken and peppers and I have a filling dinner thats easy to make and tasty!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 DC1976

The tesco light choice baked potatoes with cheese are 6pts each. Might go for one of them. Not bad. Never made cous cous but by the sound of things it is worth making !

I use my ice cream scoop as a measure for my mash. Three scoops of mash weighed as only 4 propoints. Plenty mash for any dinner. I have tried the rice, cous cous etc. but find it doesnt fill me for as long as my mash. Mash & weigh your potatoes and you might be surprised;)

I have the box here (lemon flavour) presuming that you just double the stats for one fillet, I'm getting 9pp for two??!! I don't know about the herb ones. Here's the info just in case I'm doing it wrong:
    PER FILLET
    Protein: 17.4
    Carbs: 11.1
    Fat: 6.0
    Fibre: 0.8

I was never a fan of Cous Cous until I found some flavoured varieties in Aldi, the one I have is Hot & Spicy flavour and it's 5pp per weighed portion (don't have packet to hand), it's nice. I think they do a lemon one too. Also, I like potato waffles - the Lidl ones are 2pp for one and 5pp for two, I find them a nice change from spuds. Have you tried making homemade wedges? I find they go a little bit further than plain mash, and you can save butter points if you use your low-cal spray and some seasoning or herbs.

Did 24k on the exercise bike this morning watching telly, couldn't face a walk, the rain is just lashing here all day. I really, really want to get rid of those 2 stupid pounds that I put on last week and get back on track for my Christmas goal! Having the lemon sole with loads of veg and some baby potatoes today, while I was doing sweetcorn for my son I pointed the little half cobs - one half cob is FOUR pp. Couldn't believe it, will be leaving that where it is.

There is no way of knowing the PP in potatoes unless you weigh them. Everyones version of a small potatoe could be different.

    150g raw potatoe = 3PP (1PP per 50g)

    Ah that is excellent 150g = 3pts....
Make it easier for me to judge now rather than hoping. Brill, thanks

Shell I think I'm gonna have to space my meals out into smaller ones and eat more often when I'm doing exercise, did a mammoth bike session today and I was STARVING all evening, even after dinner and a sandwich. I'm sure you'll have a loss on thursday, my WI is thursday too so best of luck!

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. I have been AWOL for a week or two.. Just cannot motivate myself at all but am trying to.
Anyhow I just wanted to let people know that there is a new Euro shop called ' Dealz' that opened in Blanchardstown ( beside halfords ) that are selling WW products and had quite a good selection, and all for €1.49.

Hi All, I had a Wi yest morning after a week of being excellent! My weight hasn't shifted in over a month so I needed to kickstart again to lose my last 4 points. I took kids to cinema on Sunday and took them to sweetshop first, then got their popcorn and drinks there, while I had two packs of walker lights in my bag @ 3pp each 2 low fat bars @ 2pp each and one pack of ww sweets @ 1pp. I know it seems a lot but I'd usually eat a large popcorn @19pp myself!!!! Anyway tracked like a demon, spaced my bottle of red wine over 4 nights, pointed 100g of Ben and Jerry's ( kids x factor treat ) finished my wine (half glass) while watching that.. I didn't feel deprived at all, and I lost 2 pounds!!!! Yeah;) anyway 1 more for stone and 2 more for target so I'll mirror last week and hope for the best!! I will be a gold member on my third attempt at ww!!!

6.5lb for a few months is not bad at all. I put on 6lb in 3 weeks (during my wedding and honeymoon)!!

You've made the first step now. Onwards and downwards. Good luck!
