4got 2 say i was laughing at other posters saying saying they had "treats" after wi,i headed to chippers, curry chips, chicken tenders and bottle of fanta!!!! then cup o tea and 2mini bars!!!!! what are we like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of curiousity, do you and any other WW-er who wants to answer, have your after WI treat and either not point it or take it out of your "new week" weeklies?

I rarely have any weeklies left by that stage but any treats I have after WI come out of that days points. I might sometimes let myself go over by 1 or 2. Then I start a new week the following day.

Here are some of my Dinner Ideas none of these take over 40 mins and that is only because the chips take that long lol I hope this is not seen as a food diary by mods, its just a helpful guide to low pp dinners for those who want to change there food around a little bit :) Oh and PS do not mind my spelling or grammar its Friday lunch time and i want to go home! :)

Monday: Shepards Pie with a BNS Topping, So thats 6pp of mince per person, carrots, onions a small tin of peas 4pp, gravy 1pp, Just boil it all togeter and top with the BNS insted of potateos and you have a big dinner for Around 8pp

Tuesday: Chicken and Carrots and Parsnips and Potateos in one of them knorr season and shake bags, would recommend MEDITERRANEAN CHICKEN PP the chicken as 4pp per person loads of veg at 0pp, 6pp for 300g of potateos per person and 2pp for the whole bag of season and shake so this one works out at around 11pp for dinner :)

Wednesday: Aldi Lemon Yellow solefin its 4pp for one, then 300g of potateos diced in to chips a couple of sprays of low cal cooking oil and roast the chips in the the oven so you get fish and chips for 10pp add beans, peas or curry for 2 or 3 pp. Lovely dinner again for around 13pp

Thursday: 6pp worth of extra lean mince, fryed with no oil with peppers, onion, garlic, chilli and throw in a tin of tomateos at the end to make the sauce add 6pp worth of past for a 12pp spag bol also aldi low fat garlic bread is 2pp a slice or 2 or 5 :)

Friday Now this is my favorite :) Chicken Brest 4pp 2 bacon medallions which the aldi ones are 2 for 1pp, home made 2 point stuffing peas 3pp gravy 1pp carrot and parsnip mash 0pp and a roast potato 3pp :) I just put a slice of ww 1 point brown bread some onion and mixed herbs in a bowl and blitz them add a splash of milk so bind it back together and studd the shicken with it then put the two bacon medallions on top wrap in foil and that takes 20mins to cook in the oven. You get the full roast here for 14pp so worth it!!

Saturday: we are going to have stir fried chicken 4pp with chilli garlic onion peppers and really bulk it out with pinapple! add 6pp fresh noodles for a 10pp dinner!!

    Start small, small goals work.
I was 13st 11.5lbs when I started, but didn't think "OK I want to be 10.5st" - just started with the first half stone and after that a few more lbs to get to 13, then the next half stone, etc etc.

Now I'm about 10st 13lbs and moving down, it's taken over a year and a half but I'm in no rush - I have all the time in the world to get to where I want to be and at least now I can exercise comfortably and change my shape.

Best decision I ever made was to join WW. It even ensured I didn't gain any weight when I quit smoking in January - and I NEVER thought I'd do that.

    :D

I started at the same weight as you and I am just about 1stone down, I don't even think of the goal weight i like to get to 7 and then the next stone, :) the road to goal weight is paved with silver stickers :)

Just checking in guys! 0.5lbs to get my 11th silver 7! Didn't think I'd see this come after the disastrous August of continuous STS! Changed my exercise around now and mixing classes with gym and finally losing again!

    Heh Guys

Just wondering do you have to use your full pro points values every day as well as you're weekly pro points? Find it difficult to use the full daily's as usually (when on a healthy buzz) snack on fruit and other healthy food! As for the weeklies, used them one week and put up half a pound!
Need the motivation to get out and go walking too. Wouldnt mind but was soooo good at walking when I was pregnant!

Lost 2.5 lbs this week and I got out for 3 7km walks so knows it makes a diff if I go out to do the exercise! Total loss so far is 11.5lbs in 5 weeks and so so happy with that as anticiapated a pound a week giving me a stone before Christmas and well on the way for that!

On a diff note how do I quote peoples posts in my post so I can refer or ans a question they might have. Computer dunce here!

You don't HAVE to use all your points. It's probably better if you do but I disagree with the whole "I have 6 points left so I better eat a bar of chocolate". Just remember if you go to sleep and have dailies left, they are gone the next morning - you can't use them again!!

To quote a post you need to go over to the right corner of their post - there should be a button saying quote.

Hey all, have completely fallen off the wagon the past few weeks wit holidays and the likes. Haven't even dared to step on the scales since I got back but today is going to be my first day back on track!! Going to do a big healthy shop and hopefully get into the swing of things and lose a few pounds before Christmas. I feel so disgusted with myself for having put back on most of the 9 pound I lost a couple of months ago:-( really hope I can get back into this. Well done to everyone on their losses :-)

I personally don't like the BNS chips, they're more like roasted veg. Because of the high water content in BNS chips they will never be crispy so that's why I don't like them. I prefer to use BNS to make 0pp soup!

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. I like to have a packet of WW mini rolls or brownies on hand for a low pp treat when I'm craving chocolate. The only thing is I've tried every Tesco in my area and Superquinn and they seem to have very few WW products on the shelves now. Does anyone know the reasoning for this? Have WW discontinued products?

Dunnes Stores are the primary stockist for ww products in Ireland. So I imagine they have priorty listing of ww products. my local dunnes in PACKED with ww products...but not even half as much in the super valu up across the street.

Thanks for that... thats what i thought alright about the BNS! Sure ill give them a bash....even if they are ok i suppose they are 0 points so better than chips :) i just find myself always going to the freezer for WW oven chips after work because im too tired to do anything else!!

Another quick one.....do people find that jogging is better for weight loss than walking? Iv heard mixed opinions on this?
    Thanks :)

Dunnes has always been the best place for me to get key WW items like the sausages or garlic bread that Tesco never has. Although the Tesco near me is HUGE and has all the WW bread products and cakes/mini rolls. Dunnes should have them too.

Superquinn also stock the garlic bread and sausages.

Supervalu sometimes have a great range of WW products but its a bit hit and miss.

My WI is at 6pm on a Thursday evening. I eat very little on a Thursday - usually a fairly filling breakfast and something light at lunch time (soup etc) so I don't count anything I have after WI because I know that I'm within my daily points. My new week starts on a Friday morning, nothing comes out of the weeklies before then!

I hate the BNS chips. To me, they taste like lumps of roasted pumpkin or parsnip or something - not nice. I'm not a fan of BNS at ALL, but I love to make BNS soup with kick of curry powder. I find the chips v. tasteless.

Having a great weekend - used up a good few weeklies on Friday night at a party, but had a 10k walk yesterday morning and didn't have any drink or snacks last night even though we had friends over until 2am! Made a really nice Sunday breakfast, for anyone who likes stodgy-type comfort food:

Half a punnet of mushrooms - boil them, drain them, then put them in a saucepan with 3-4 sprays of low cal spray and brown them.
Get one medium egg, an eggcup full of skimmed milk, mix together.
Get two slices of Hovis Nimble bread, soak the bread in the mix and fry on a hot pan with low-cal spray.

Really nice filling comforting french toast and all for 7pp if you count the spray. Lovely!

    Hi all,

Have been a dedicated follower of this thread a few times before, but fell off the wagon at the start of this year and have put on all the weight I've ever lost and some more!!!!
Had a bit of a meltdown on Friday night when I couldnt get into any of my going out Jeans and realised something needs to change so back to ww. Signed up to the online ww yesterday and at a starting weight of 12st 9, I need to lose at least 2 stone but my first goal is 12st which is 5%! Going to weigh myself each saturday morning. Used my 29 yesterday, and still on track tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to keep it up!
I have put my jeans in full view on my wardrobe door to remind my each morning of why I'm doing this!

Any tips grateful appreciated, this thread is fantastic!

PS Had a ww rich chocolate dessert pot yesterday for 2pp and it really fed my chocolate craving!

Just had the most yummy pesto chicken. Made the recipe myself and it was really easy and didn't take long at all. It was 14PP with 80g pasta but was worth every point. Nom nom nom

Had a good weekend. Used most of my weeklies but got out for walks and have been curbing the snacks and having filling meals instead.

My sista from another mista, that's what I spent my weeklies on too :) Have to have my few vodkas on Friday and Saturday (with X Factor). Keeps me sane :)

First night out in ages next Saturday, bit worried PP wise but can't wait. Really annoys me that there is no diet redbull in pubs :( That's what I drink with vodka and really hate other diet soft drinks with vodka so it's a toughie to stay WW friendly on nights out.

I dont want to get you in trouble but a big handbag will get you a long way if its just a few diet redbulls you'd get away with bringing them yourself! this stuff is ok in culchie land dont know bout anywhere else! :)

I would do it just because If I'm not in control of what i'm drinking I will go mad and drink (and eat) like a tank..after my two big sessions i was up 0.5lb and 3.5lb.. so if you can have what you like and are in control do it!! :)

Another tasty option diet club orange and captain morgan its super-split ice cream in a glass!!

    Hi there lisa,

I don't want to be a pain in the butt as all those meals sound delish but I noticed you weren't pointing the parsnips. That tripped me up at the start as I love my roasted parsnips but just thought I'd warn you in case you're using more points than you thought and it's effecting your weightloss.

Can I say also warm up if you're using little dumbells at home, feel like Alien is about to burst out of my chest! Had a pretty good weekend WW wise - used all of the weeklies (as per), but got a few walks in and haven't strayed over points. Feel so tired today, can't get the energy to go for a walk in that rain - will do the exercise bike later instead while watching girly DVD - MUCH more fun :) Gonna make one of my wrap pizzas now, feels like a pizza kind of day!

Well, I'm making the chicken pie this evening. Tasty, Warm and just what you need on a wild winter's night. I was a good girl and chopped up all my veg yesterday ready for the next few days. Signing my lease for my new home tomorrow night and then moving this weekend so I figured If I didn't prepare everything in advance then the Pizza man would be summoned :)
