I tried it with Black VPN and it works fine with it.No buffering issues so far. With a referal code you get a global VPN for 10 euro for 3 months or a US only VPN for 5 euro for 3 months. Its very easy set up.My code is XTDWFXA in case anyone wants it. Works on iPhone,iPad,android,laptop etc so you aren't tied to one device.

I'm not suggesting this is the best VPN btw. I think it's the cheapest though.

I obviously just made it! Watched the new episode of Parenthood yesterday evening at 8pm so it must have been later that the geolock kicked in

Yup it is.

Not only that but the app seems to have become next to useless. Even using a VPN nearly every link yields a "currently unavailable,try again later" message.That was before the latest update and after updating it's exactly the same.
Disappointing.
That's my experience anyway. If anyone's having better luck please say.:)

The bookstore now has books you can buy, no coincidence that they've appeared the same day the new kindle was announced.

I'm probably being thick here but haven't you always been able to buy books from the iBooks app? I've bought plenty of books from it including 'Hard Landing' by Stephen Leather.

What new feature is this?

EDIT: Also the Tiger woods game is pretty good, not amazing though. I wouldn't have paid for it to be honest

Maybe I haven't played it enough yet to get really into it.

The Irish ibookstore has only offered free Project Guttenberg books until yesterday.

Yikes! :eek: Didn't realise that. That's pants. I'm UK based and was delighted with the app because sometimes books on iBooks were cheaper than on the Kindle app store. Glad Apple have copped on.

Came across a decent free TV app for those interested in non-anglophone channels, though the app does sport a number of American channels too.

Initially I thought it was only in the French AppStore where I got it but in fact it seems to be available everywhere. Works very, very well and requires no VPN.

Universal TV.

In addition, Universal TV supports full AirPlay so (for those interested) I now have all French national channels (TNT) free, gratis and for nothing on my big screen.

I finally upgraded my iPad 1 from 3.2 to 4.2.1 (didn't have SHSH blobs for 4.3.3) this weekend..

.. XBMC + IceFilms ftw!

Now to go back through 10 or so pages to see any IOS4 only apps I may have missed!

Once you've downloaded the iPhone app go back to the app store and there'll be an update available to give the full iPad app weird but it works
