Wouldn't you think he would change the number plate if not just to hide the rust bubbles.

It would want to be a bloody big number plate.:)

Saw this RHD 500 in Rathmines today, think it had a 73 reg. A 1967 SL Pagoda went passed about two minutes before this one, a nice way to commute.

Pretty sure that 500 is usually parked about 1/2 a mile away on Grosvenor Rd.

Great to see someone taking the effort and expense of fitting a more correct number plate to the Beetle rather than the dreadful looking black and silver version of the EU plates.

But being really picky about it, I don't think that the font used is correct, looks like that used in the UK rather than the fonts which were used in the ROI.

    Or am I wrong?

    You are correct.
Too many small-digit plates on classics.

Looks like somebody made a 'boo boo' when making up the reg plates?!
The Front and Rear plates are different reg numbers?!:D

    Stunning car though!
    ..yer wan's not bad either;)

I just don't understand one thing: which dummy parked that Dino like this? I wouldn't be surprised to see this car on wreckedexotics.com in the future...

Could have been talking to the girlfriend - that car might have cost them no more relative to their income than a 93 Fiesta would you or I...

Very true, but sadly no one but a few die hards care. :(

Classy cars should be driven and parked more sensitively than ordinary shopping trolleys... In my opinion... This has nothing to do with money or value.. One huge red L on his windscreen would be nice... Lamer.

It's his car, not yours. Would you feel bound by his opinions on how you should drive your car?;)

Whats wrong with his parking? Its parked in a parking bay.

If you mean the open windows the owner could be nearby. There are some countries where you can leave the roof down on a convertible or the windows open on a classic and nothing will happen you know.

    Or am I missing something?

[OP here] I'd guess he was is the pub keeping an eye on it. It's a wealthy, bohemian area - there's an Aston convertible frequently parked overnight on the street nearby and 911s are two a penny.

Nicely parked Porsche ;) - it's clearly visible that the owner know how to handle his car...

In general it's just stupid to park the car this way no matter what people think about it (not your car etc.). It's like wearing a pink track suit when you are 60 years old (yes, that is what I exactly saw few months ago on one woman .. wtf :D)

You're missing a simple fact, that the car is almost touching the kerb with the left rear wheel...

Sorry for the poor quality photos from my phone, but this super clean 328GTB just drove past my front door.

Anyone know the history of this one? A chap I worked with remembers refitting the lights on it when it was resprayed in Galway in the early 70s. He thought it was originally French registered.

that one originally belonged to a doctor in galway dont know his name though

MantaMad, did you take many pics of ambulances etc? There's a vehicle gallery over in the Emergency Services forum where I'm sure they'd be appreciated.

They all look well but I love old police/ambo/fire wagons.

Saw this this morning on the way to work. Stupid dumb ass of a phone froze after the first pic and it was too late by the time I poped the battery out and re-booted the phone again.
The pic does the car absolutely no justice whatsoever.
There wasn't a spot of rust anywhere and not a wisp of blue smoke under acceleration.
