I'd say that it would be fairly unusual, most people like to draw their knife with their good hand. The way you seem to prefer involves a change of hand. I would say that this is probably less efficient.
I have seen people who prefer to cross draw, That is to say they are right handed carry the knife in a right handed sheath on the left side of their body usually in front of the hip and draw it with their right hand (reverse for lefties)

If I was trying to dispatch a wounded animal I wouldn't like to have to change hands in mid air while trying to hold it down with the other hand.

But then I'm sure that you are a good enough shot never to have this problem

Well Lads

At this stage everyone has either paid or contacted me to say that the deposits are on their way. So unfortunately it looks like there won't be any of the reserves included this time.

I'm sorry you guys missed out. I would like to have made knives for everyone but with 15 in this project alone, along with other commitments in the shop I just don't have the capacity to push things out any further.

It's important to us (My Son Stephen (Apprentice) and I) that every knife that leaves the shop is of the highest quality. Therefore it would not be fair on anyone if we were to put ourselves under so much pressure that the standards dropped for the sake of another sale or two.

I hope ye understand and I hope you guys get involved in another project down the road sometime.

So How is the next step gonna work ?

Well it's pretty straight forward.
In the next step you will be offered Timber and other materials for your knife Handle.

I have a total of 24 different options.
There are 15 of you which means there are more than enough options.
Each day at Noon (ish), beginning Monday , I will post 3 choices.

If you want to claim one of those options for yourself then you post your UserName ...Folowed by a Letter and finally folowed by the Description
