Can you tell me how my post says "all Irish women are bitches", I clearly stated it as my own personal opinion and I even highlighted the fact that I was speaking in general terms. And with regards to the ugly comment, that's not just my own opinion but the general consensus around the world. Our we country always comes out top or near the top in the ugly polls. I said our men are the ugliest too you know. Funny how no guys here got on the defensive about that and felt the need to make me out to be bitter.

Stuck up/bitches, tomato/tomato. I was using your post as one example of the general tone of a lot of the posts from men in this thread, which could be fairly summarised as "all/most Irish women are bitches". I wasn't having a go at you personally, and your post isn't even the worst in that list. And I never said you were bitter, don't know where that's coming from. It's not the fact that you called Irish women ugly that made that a nasty post, it's another example of "how dare they be bitches when they're not even hot?" which is one of the most sexist and stupid things I've ever read and which is all over this thread.

I think this may have run its course now though

Also, LOL @ name electro bitch.

Good lol or bad lol? I wanted electro girl but it was taken by someone who made like five posts, grrr. Besides I'm fairly regularly and oh so wittily informed that it kind of suits me.

No it's not a fair summary at all. Read back through those examples. A fair summary in my opinion would be "many men see Irish girls, in general, to be more stuck up than in other countries". Nearly all have said it isn't all girls, just in general.

It was another girl who said I was bitter in response to my original post.

And I don't condone anyone being stuck up. Any girl who acts stuck up, whether they look like Jessica Alba or Susan Boyle, is a bitch in my eyes. I find it amusing the inflated self worth many Irish girls bestow upon themselves.

I'm saying all this with an Irish girlfriend! lol. Anyways, I agree, this has ran its course.

    Yes it was.

    Banned.

Apparently I'm supposed to post in bold when I indicate stuff like this. I'm not really a fan of it myself. Not my style.

    Doesn't sit well.

Rather like threads like these actually.

Theres certainly bellends in both of the sexs and all the nationalities. Some of the rudeness from some women could be the result of men being sleazy towards them but the problem then is some women apply the same rules towards shy men who pluck up the courage to aproach them. A girl (american) I was in college with mentioned turning her back to a guy who tried to talk to her when he first aproached. Now to me thats someone who has no manners regardless of the situation.

Saying that there is definatly some men who are incredible and sleazy some some backlash against that is understandable. My bugbear would be women who think your getting into their pants by saying "hello" to them and walking within twenty feet of them but their in the minority. Whatever about the odd rude girl I wouldnt let it ruin my experience with the rest of them. I think the thing is to have a laugh with a girl if she looks aproachable and you cant go wrong. Ill finish by saying that having lived and dated in america I would definatly prefer Irish girls.

    Don't be stupid.
It's because we like to roide each other, while laughing at all the pathetic losers trying to come onto us all night.

That's where all the wimmin go to have orgies to get away from all the skeezy men. That's all why women spend so long in the jacks.

Hm, "waste of time", "avoid like the plague", "most horrible creatures on the face of the planet" "wreck your head..not worth the hassle": your summary makes this sound a lot nicer than it was. Direct quotes, none of which were qualified with some or most, if I included the ones where they bothered to at least say "in general" the list would be a lot longer. There's no point pretending that every post giving out about women here has been in un-inflammatory language and very clearly only meant to describe a small percentage of women, and that the famed feminazis are then jumping down people's throats. It simply isn't the case.

And I agree that being good-looking doesn't give you any kind of right to be a bitch, which is why I find it ridiculous that men are including comments on Irish women's appearance in their criticism of this bitchiness. Either they think that being good looking that would make it more excusable for the women to act bitchily, or they're just getting a cheap dig in, either way it's not very appealing and I don't give a **** if I'm called a feminazi for responding to it.

A thread for frustrated people to take the piss out of Irish women, how original.

Irish women are the best, if you have a problem with them then you're doing it wrong.

    What he said.

Under normal circumstances I would prefer that once I lock a thread I highlight my reasons for doing so in a succinct ending paragraph which explains the rationale for my decision.

I will usually attempt to communicate these decisions in a punchy way which also involves the poster.

I find empowering the reader to question a moderator's decision in a positive way is a useful tool because it allows posters the opportunity to question a decision while simultaneously putting them in the shoes of the moderator.

Often I will invite other posters to send me a private message in the event that they do not understand my decision for closing a thread.

I'll also deliberately leave a few line breaks between the main paragraph illustrating my point and my reason for the decision to lock a thread.

Do not be fooled by these moderator tricks.

There are many reasons why I do this. I'm subtly attempting to influence your thought patterns while simultaneously hoping to put you at ease with my particular style of moderation.

If ever I invite you to PM me over a decision I've made what I'm really saying is "Feel free to PM me if you want to identify yourself as an idiot who I will probably have to ban in the near future".

If a moderator cares to offer a wall of text when locking a thread it shows that they've at least thought about the decision beforehand.

However their reasoning is often so uninteresting that posters will simply scan the first line and the last line of a post and based on the wall of unread text between these two lines they will pass judgement on the particular moderator's decision regardless of its genuine merit.

So most people have already lost interest by the time they have half-read the warnings I give at the end of messages.

With that in mind I'm just going to go ahead and lock this particular thread bashing Irish women because we'll replay it again in a few weeks anyway.

That's assuming that the uneasy treaty I have created as a result of locking this thread even lasts a few weeks. It most likely won't.

    Boobs are awesome.
