They should just sticky a thread about Irish women being bitches, that way men could go in and have their little moan rather than starting a new thread every day about making out how they've discovered the reason they're single is because .............wait for it...............ALL IRISH WOMEN ARE BITCHES!

This kinda thing annoys me!! Nobody said 'All Irish women are bitches'.

It is NOT just lads who are embarrassing while drunk. :P

I was out with a girl and some of her friends a few weeks ago (as in we already knew eachother and she'd asked me to go with them), and our night had to be abruptly cut short when she started getting sick everywhere and forgot her friend's name. :D:D:D[/QUOTE]

I agree with you there. Anyone can get steaming drunk. I'm just trying to come up with answers for Toddy.

And I've definitely heard from my boyfriend some of the things that women have said to him in the past. One girl (about 22yo) saw a lane way in temple bar and asked him did he wanna go up there for a shag! Unbelieveable!

Ever notice in the animal kingdom documentaries (lions for example) how mating usually involves the male trying to dominate the female by stalking her but she'll usually retort by f*cking him out of it for the first while until (sometimes) eventually... Success. Sorry if making a comparison with animals is offensive.

    It's a interesting point actually!:)

No, not this thread but it's always said or implied in the other anti Irish girls threads!

Girls with no intention of giving the shift should be refused entry. Simples.

Now now guys, it's alright for you all be thanks whores in these threads saying Irish girls are stuck up and ugly and waiting for the thanks from your fellow perfect men who have been wronged by Irish women but a woman can't give thanks to a poster who sticks up for Irish women....

    WOW just wow

If you look through this thread its the same 2 or 3 girls thanking the same 2 o 3 girls! Quite ridiculous!

Love the way you are all hopping on the bandwagon and suggesting that all men here are making a huge generalisiation.

Try being an Irish bloke trying to meet an Irish girl in their early to mid twenties and you will know all about it.

I don't know where the ugly comments are coming from! All that was stated that there is a attitude problem with SOME girls of that age!

At the end of the day girls, there is no excuse for outright vulgarity, rudeness and disrespect to guy who politely says 'hello'.

Stop trying to bring the drunken yobs into it as an excuse.

Irish girls are pretty, but by God do they love to be needlessly cruel.

It's quite sad that the ugly stereotype for either gender exist- the girl as some obnoxious, stuck-up bitch, and the guy as some handsy imbecile with no manners or social tact whatsoever. Tbh I would just like to think it's just a handful of uncomfortable incidents for each person painting a larger negative picture, but I'm not sure if that's true.
End of the day, it costs nothing to have manners or even feign having some class when dealing with advances. If a girl has some mental list of contrived put-downs for any advance she experiences, I'd question her motives. Maybe she's so used to men approaching her and talking to her chest with vomit-stained lips that she's become overly skeptical of men approaching her. Maybe she's just an awful human being who wants to die alone with many cats.
Some people just need a bit more class and situational awareness, otherwise they'll come across as a tool and further fuel the unpleasant stereotypes to the point where our nightlife is essentially the town from Footloose. Girls on one side, guys on the other.

For argument's sake the last girls I spoke with on a night out, didn't fling acid in my face, so it doesn't always happen...

I wasn't really thanking anyone and I don't know who thanked who but if it's the same girls thanking the same people then it's because they have the same opinion, the girls here are sticking up for the nice girls....not the bitches! It's not ridiculous at all if you think about it!

Not at all but i've seen how these threads end up and I was trying to get my point across which is hard when some people are so set in their views.

As a male in my mid 20s and on the longest dry spell of my riding career and genuinelly cant see where the next one is coming from :pac: it would never even be a temptation to approach a female in a pub/nightclub. Its just wrong and when i see my mates do it i tell them about it.

Young Irish women are in general a peculiar bunch. Treat them nicely and they'll treat you poorly, treat them like shít and they'll be all over you. Big fans of the ol' "treat them mean, keep them keen" ideology.

I've heard they get better as they get older.

Having lived and visited in various cities around the world (years in London, now living in Melbourne) I still have to say Irish girls think way too highly of themselves.

Now I know Irish men with drink on them are a complete embarrassment, but still, the bitchyness of Irish girls is something that still haunts me from my youth and I still find it hard to talk to Irish girls abroad, so mostly I don't.

I have to say, in other countries, men and women interact in pubs/clubs all the time.. there will be chitchat between them and then the guy might ask the girl does she want to dance etc. and she will either say yes or politely say no. Simple. That's the way it works outside of Ireland. Then you go out in Ireland and girls have these shields up and act like complete bitches.

I really do think it's just a coping mechanism for their own insecurities and lack of self confidence, added to a skewed opinion of self-worth brought on by the materialism of the media and leftovers of the 'feel good factor' of the celtic tiger days (because I'M worth it etc.)

OP, forget trying to talk to Irish girls in clubs and just go abroad where social interaction is normal between males and females. If you don't get laid, then at least you may make friends with some girls and that may lead to meeting your girl in the future...
They have it built up in their heads that they are actually good looking. Give me Germany any day where good looking dames don't have a problem with fine looking men like myself chatting them up.

foreign girls ftw;) let the home grown mingers stew in their own juice :pac:
    tolosenc wrote: »
OP, you big error here was approaching Irish women. Foreign women are better for the gene pool and better for your mental health.
Avoid Irish girls like the plague.. Even when they're backpackin over here, they're tough work. If you chat to them at all, they presume you're interested when really I just got left standin next to them.
    jonnygiles wrote: »
Im sure that situation has happened to most guys in their time OP. It does seem that the majority of women in the 18-22 age bracket appear to like beign very dismissive to advances whether they were in a acceptable manner of not. Best off ignoring them and just having a good time on your own, let them come to you. Decided I had enough of chasing Irish women and now have an American girlfriend and couldnt be happier:) Foreign women to tend to be more approachable just to have a general conversation with imo

A lot of Irish girls are stuck up their own hole on nights out. Full of nasty attitude thinking they are all models and they can treat guys (they don't fancy) like crap.
    KTRIC wrote: »
I won't date Irish women any more. Even after the initial "chase" they'll wreck your head. Not worth the hassle at all.
there is a certain attitude that Irish women have and in most cases its completely unjustified.
So many lads I know all say that girls in other countries are far more approachable, and I'm one of those lads who has lived overseas, and I have met and been with some really kind attractive kind foreign women.

Does everyone remember Breffiny Morgan from the Apprentice?
he was once on the Late Late talking about courtship in IReland. He said the difference between Irish girls and those in the US, is that in Eire the girls will look at you and say 'go away from me!' while the Yanks, even though they wouldn't be interested in you would have the banter, introduce you to their friends.

Do Irish women every wonder why more Irish men are dating foreign girls?
You don't see too many Polish or Czech lads dating Irish women, maybe because they're content with their own girls.

Also why the heck don't the Irish have a dating culture. Having dinner with someone in London is about the same texting a girl here.

Irish girls in general would want to liven the fu ck up.
I agree Irish women are a waste of time. Having been to several countries and expierenced their women I know what you said is true. Italians amazing. Easy to approach very good looking interesting. The conversation isnt just one way. Same with Spanish women. Like I cant believe most Irish women who arnt very attractive can be so stuck up. What do they expect. WHy does every Irish lad want to go to Ibiza Mallorca Malia etc. Its funny coz when they do go abroad they are "stayed well away from". Now there is still alot of very nice Irish women who arnt stuck up. But from what I heard thats the generalisation of Irish women. Oh well 10 morer months and Im outta here
    py2006 wrote: »
That is true, they usually loose the attitude with maturity.
    magma69 wrote: »
Out of all the places I have been, I found Irish girls, in general, to be the most stuck up by far. Which is strange because they are the ugliest also (as are the men).
Alot of girls are stuck up and way too high standards, but not all [PC add-on]
if Irish women don't want to be approached in bars/nightclubs, I would suggest to them to stop wearing make-up and revealing outfits on a night out. Therefore you won't get approached as much

Unfortunately it's hard not to bring the drunken yobs into it, as they're hard to avoid on a night out.
Hell, they're hard to avoid in the middle of the day!

I think it's these guys that Irish women have a problem with, and unfortunately they're very common.

You ARE generalising. And it's not a bandwagon, it's what we all think!

I most certainly am not! I specifically stated a 'significant percentage of Irish girls in the late teen to mid twenties' have this attitude problem.

I did NOT say ALL Irish women are bitches and Ugly as has been suggested by somebody here. If, as somebody, suggested there are other threads on this well fine! But that is not what this thread is about.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that if you were to say "Grr, argh, all women are bitches!" that was a generalisation, but you're pretty much in the clear if you say "Grr, arg, a percentage of women are bitches!" One covers all with the same brand of beige paint, the other leaves some out because beige isn't really their colour.

You're dead right, I wonder where on earth she got that impression...

Can you tell me how my post says "all Irish women are bitches", I clearly stated it as my own personal opinion and I even highlighted the fact that I was speaking in general terms. And with regards to the ugly comment, that's not just my own opinion but the general consensus around the world. Our we country always comes out top or near the top in the ugly polls. I said our men are the ugliest too you know. Funny how no guys here got on the defensive about that and felt the need to make me out to be bitter.
