Well, I'm only being so zen because of past experience - when I get bad dreams relating to exam results it usually means that I'm gonna do well :D well, by my standards anyway. RELAX, as long as you gave it socks and you paid reasonable attention last year, you'll be fiiiiiine ;)

But Indiego told us all a really depressing story back in the Junior Cert forum about her parents expecting so much of her, or something like that.

    It was sad. :o

I'm not nervous about the results.

I'm going to take my envelope then leave the school and walk home, I'm going to open it, by myself and think about the results :pac:

    If they're good I'll tell people but if they're not I won't :P IRL

But I'll say here like :P

But what will you do when all your relations and random people ask you?

I've no problem telling my friends, but I'd rather not tell all the aunts and uncles who will ring me on the day.

I'll open it in school and tell anyone who asks, it is what it is :D

If I do well (as in if i get all A's) I wouldnt tell a soul tbh, and even less so if i do really badly, so basically, only my closest friends are going to know what i get :o

I'd tell my aunts and uncles no bother but not gonna tell all my friends just a few because if some did better than me they'll make a big song and dance out of it :P

And those people who say awh i didnt study at all should be rounded up and shot.
One friend told me he didn't study at all for maths history english and geography then he was telling me a story which involved 'it was in the geog. book when i was studying'. Fools

Well you guys are okay because you can all open your results in peace and quiet, with no other JCs looking to compare results with, have a little cry if you want to, and then never have to look at them again.
We've had a talk about whether or not I should receive the results at camp, and after much deliberation I've decided to take them like a man (er, woman). I'll just take the envelope, walk as far away from everyone else as possible, try and control my emotions while I look at the page, ring my mam, and keep schtum to everyone else, no matter how many times they ask me. I don't think my mental state would be up to much more batterage after getting the results. :(
As far as I can see it, what I think is all that matters. Noone in my family put pressure on me to do well, except myself thankfully. :) I put in the effort for 3 years, I tried my best in June and nearly broke down, so I couldn't give a flying fúck about anyone else's opinion. And regarding English, I don't believe that someone's literary talent can be realistically or fairly graded based on 5 hour's worth of pressurised, frantic, possibly incoherent writing, caused by stressing on the part of a kid who may actually be very good at English and could go on to write a series of best-selling novels in the future(!) :D
And on that note, I leave you all ^.^'
