    I went to a christian brothers school for years as did most of the people from my area,There was big time corporal punishment going on and not just from the brothers also from syco masters to, My area was a pretty rough area then and still is a pretty rough area now, Canning did nothing but got people to disrespect and rebel againist authority even more,imo.
