Spent 20 days in Italy last month (rural Umbria and a couple of days in Rome) - hoped/expected to see more oldies than I did though I did see a classic car run one Sun. morning but I was about 5 cars back from the last car and turning right at a T-junction as they all swung left, more's the pity !

    Anyway, for what it's worth..............

Whenever you see a black Lancia Thesis driven by a couple of dudes with shades on, in an Italian city, it looks very menacing.

Saw a soft top one of them heading southbound on the N11 between Whites Cross and Foxrock Church a week or two back. Definitely on 'the list'! :)

Great pics Do-More, fairly impressive "local classic car club".!!

Isn't there a website in Sweden like cartell.ie where you can check up on the reg of a car and thus its make, model and year? Do you have a link to it if possible.

There are a lot of classic car enthusiasts here, but not a bad turnout for 6pm on a weekday evening even if it is holiday season here. I don't known for sure but I'd guess most of the cars traveled less than 50kms to get there, I've certainly seen many been driven locally before. It was the Skåne veteran car club who organised the run, which would cover an area similar to an Irish county.

@ Do-more - great pics! from your posts there seems to be a very varied and active classic scene in Sweden

any idea what the 2nd car in the fisrt set of pics is? Wine coloured, reg CUU556", kinda like a Tucker, but i'm guessing its something else (hint of Borgward about the rear flanks too)

    I think it's a Studebaker Champion.

If ,like me, you are 40-45 and saw the original Muppet Movie at the picturres you would have recognised the front straight away!! :)

Tesco car park at Mahon Point shopping centre, Cork. Apparently a daily driver judging from a parking permit on the front window. And it's probably driven by a midget, because the seat was way too close to the steering wheel :)

Passed this on motorway in Denmark yesterday.

Was reading in Classic and Sports Car magazine over the weekend, that very few of these cars remain, if so, makes this "spot" even more worthwhile.
