Some of the men in my life (especially my father) get so grumpy and just practically grunt at you if you dare to ask them something. It's so bloody ignorant. I'd rather you shouted at me and got it out of your system, thanks.

Honestly, I know women can be hard work when it comes to the emotional stuff, but men are just as bad. Women can be over-emotional, and men just bottle it all up and act pissed off. Can we have a half-way point we can all meet at please???

Men are bothered by rejection not by other women being slutty. When a man is rejected he might use any insult he can think of to call her, it doesn't mean sluttiness bothers him, it's the rejection and hurt ego that bothers him, whereas with women they often are bothered by women they don't even know being openly slutty. Reason being they are undermining non slutty women's power over men.

As for the double standard, it isn't one. If it was difficult for women to go around sleeping with lots of men they'd be legends legends too, but it's not, it's as easy as drinking a glass of water.

Yea its very much a young girl thing! But I have seen adult women giving their friends ex the cold shoulder! Even though they were all friends at one stage!

I can understand an awkwardness but if the split was amicable it is kind of immature!

The impression I get is people perceive that a woman is more in control of fulfilling her need for sex as in if she is average looking she could put every night while a guy might just get lucky ever so often.

But guys are looking at that from a male mentality were they feel every man would be up for the ride if asked, instead of thinking that a woman's mentality towards the sexual situation may differ.

Forget women's mentality! (ehem) I think the point that was made was that should a woman want sex it is far easier for her to get 'lucky' than it is for a man! Hence, it is far harder for a man to achieve stud status than it for a woman to achieve slut status!

yeah I get what you're saying. if a woman goes looking for sex, she'll probably get it, whereas if a man goes looking there's a chance he won't. I was just pointing out that if a woman gets sex, so does a man!

There's a saying that most men would sleep with most women - I would imagine this is true.

Women tend to have higher standards.
