How Many Units Do You Consume?

Recommended safe limits of alcohol consumption per week is no more than 21 units for a man and no more than 14 for a woman.

1 unit of alcohol is equal to a half pint of beer, standard 35.5ml measure of spirits or one glass of wine (100ml). Source

So how many units of alcohol do you consume a week on average and do you think it's too much or not enough?

Luckily, the amount of heroin I use is harmless, I inject about once a month on a purely recreational basis. Fine. But what about other people less stable, less educated, less middle-class than me? Builders or blacks for example. If you're one of those, my advice is leave well alone. Good luck.

it is a drug in liquid form. No different then if you snort it up your snozz or inject it into your veins or roll it into a joint.

As for my own unit intake it is a nice round figure of zero.

An overdose of heroin is fatal - in the short term. But there has been no research whatsoever into long term effects.

Could go for weeks consuming 0 units, some weeks 2-6 units, some weeks a lot more. No idea what the average works out as tbh. The average one month could be completely different to the average of the next month. I think I can safely say I am well under the recommended on average. Although I am certain I've blown that recommendation out of the water some weeks too, just not very often.

Drinkers are jokers. I can't understand why people put that crap in their body, they'll die from liver failure or many of the drink related illnesses.

Worst thing is when I'm at a bus-top and can smell the alcohol off people, stop breathing near me. Also when I'm in a nightclub there are tons of drunk people around, I didn't pay good money to have drink spilled on me when I paid in to have an aul dance.

They should ban alcohol, it's costing the taxpayer a fortune in healthcare and people are getting killed on the roads from drink-drivers.

I don't drink regularly, but I have gone on a bender on more than a few occasions. Last time I drank was over a month ago at this stage, but I will be going on the tear next week and will consume 30+ units in one night.

21 units a week equates to 10.5 pints? Sometimes I'd do that 4 nights a week, sometimes not at all.

20-30, odd time more, all in one big night at the weekend. its not right or healthy but its pretty standard for someone my age in this country.

This week I have drank about 50ish? Bottle of rum, about 12 cans and a few "mixes". Before you call me out, Im a unemployed student with as sad as it seems, nothing else to do in the nighttime.
