This Mayo v Galway match is one of the worst I've ever seen.

This Mayo v Galway match is one of the worst I've ever seen.

Saw the first half. Horrible match, showed me even more why Connacht Football is awful.

Looking forward to the sunday game tonight. Missed alot of matches today.

    Nice finish though.

Womens Wimbledon final, David Haye fight, UFC 132, Limerick / Wexford & Galway / Clare. Busy day of sport, so this needs a bump.

    I'll have to tape that!

I'm supposed to be going to the hurling in Limerick today.

Half the pubs in the city will be showing the boxing tonight as well.

I'd hate to be a Sports moderator today! :D

Seriously? Damn >_<. They did that with our Leinster semi vs. Carlow last week too.

Anyway first day of the Tour de France! =P Roche ended up in 19th and didnt lose time due to the crash near the end.

Can't wait for the Wimbledon final either tomorrow.

That's the hurlers out now. Good win for Limerick.

I absolutely love the Tour de France, it's one of the big sports events I get really excited about every single year. Delighted that Roche managed to stay on the right side of the peleton when the crash happened (he was seriously lucky, I reckon he was pretty much right beside/slightly in front of the Astana rider who crashed first), and it's kind of exciting to see some of the favourites like Contador, Hesjedal, Kreuziger - obviously Contador in particular - having to play catch-up so early. Also, team time trial tomorrow, \o/.

Yerra 'twas grand. I'm just glad it wasn't another Williams sisters final.

Sharapova was far from her best; she can be very erratic at times. That shouldn't take anything away from Kvitova though; she was the better player and fully deserved to win.

Good win for limerick. Last minute goal for WX made the scoreline look more respectable. Really excited about limerick's forward line. The likes of downes and mulcahy were immense and hannon wasn't too shabby taking free's on his championship debut either (got an epic point from a sideline cut at one stage)! Happy out shur :) and the banter in the terraces today made the game even better :P gwan limerick!!

Sooooo..clare seem to be taking a beating anyways.

it just felt to be too short a match, there were better matches in the tournament in fairness. it wasn't like that Andy Murray match that was going on well into the evening. there was no tension in the final :/

hopefully the men's final tomorrow will be better. hoping for Nadal to lose, just don't like him for some reason

I really hate TTTs from a spectator viewpoint, probably the least exciting stages. However, if AG2R somehow pull off a victory I wont be complaining :P

Here's to hoping for a better men's final tomorrow.

I actually find them really exciting, because in a TTT a time-gap seems to be overhauled in no time and teams you see setting amazing times early on in the sectors often wane, to allow another team - with the sense to start off a bit slower but finish on a high - to win. Sky, Garmin-Cervélo and HTC should be the three that battle it out.. I'd love an AG2R win, but can't see it happening! Damage limitation tbh. Contador could also be in that boat!

The only bad thing when the Tour comes around is that when you don't have Eurosport, the coverage is so baaaad.

TG4 do awesome coverage! It's as good as Eurosport, and less likely to be randomly cancelled due to SUDDENLY IMPORTANT volleyball game, or something.. :pac:

They don't cover every day though.
At least they didn't last year. And let's not even mention ITV's coverage. Woeful. TG4's is a good Irish refresher though.

I can't see past Friday on their schedule, but they've similar coverage to Eurosport all this week anyway! Tomorrow's the only poor coverage day because of the Wimbledon final and all.

Senior hurling championship has been piss poor this year so far. Has to be said I havnt seen a good game of hurling yet, bar maybe the Waterford Limerick semi.. And Im not saying that coz Waterford won or whatever but its been the only close game but even at that the skill level and championship pace really wasnt there.
Im hoping the Munster Final and phase 3 qualifiers next week will halt this trend but Im not confident..

Best 2 games ive seen all year are the Clarinbridge DLS club game(possibly the best ive ever seen) and the Limerick Waterford minor game that went to extra time a week ago. Like there may have been other good hurling games, but I havnt seen them.

Limerick v antrim. Galway v cork. That's the last qualifier draw.
And i'm not gonna lie, i am ridiculously happy :pac: of course i'd like limerick to play a top team but if the draw keeps going this way, i wont complain.

That was a magnificent match. Loved watching it, even when the result swung away from Limerick at the end.
