Did you see the fix for those that have lost BBC HD and BBC One HD, you need to delete all channels in Other Channels and unplug the power and then reboot the box, but you will lose BBC One HD but at least get BBC HD back on Ch 143.

I just deleted BBC ONE HD from the list and when I rebooted, BBCHD was back on 143 . . .

Yeah but no BBC One HD, but at least BBC HD is back, some programmes are repeated later in the week on BBC HD so for the moment its not too bad, glad to be of some help.

Hi I have an Edision Argus Mini 2 in 1 Combo Receiver, my BBC HD channels are gone. Can I re tune them in, is my receiver compliant with the new BBC transponder.

Have the same box prisoner. Simple enough to rectify. Go into Sat installation, then hit TP edit {yellow button of the four colours} Scroll down to frequency[10847] and delete using same yellow button. Come out of that and do a full re scan. When finished type in BBC in Find channel . Ignore first BBC HD{ its blank anyway } scroll down and the next one is there . so is BBC One HD.

    Hope this helps.

    BBC/Sky have messed up here, surely they can't expect so many of their Sky/Freesat HD customers to do a full re-tune. There's a lot of stuff over on the DS forums on this subject;

    http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1485227&page=6

They must be aware of what's going on, I would think that changes will be made overnight to rectify the problem, if not then it's Auto Setup or factory reset on my Panny D25 in the morning:(

The bug here is that Panasonic TV's don't allow the user to delete existing channels. In this situation BBC didn't change the SID's for each channel, so as far as the TV's were concerned SID 6940 was BBC HD @ 10847V but couldn't find it because it's parameters had been changed ~ "No Signal". The existing channels & parameters can only be removed by either performing Auto Setup or Factory Reset, fine for techies but a nightmare for "little 'ol ladies". Both are culprits here, Panasonic for their short sighed menu design & BBC for not erasing ALL info for their channels so that Panny's could see the "new" ones

Amstrad DRX 780UK box,no BBC HD since the mess up.
Spent all morning on the phone to SKY Tech,(Yeagh)
Tried everything including a rebuild, lost everything in the process.Final comment from them,"Do you want us to send an Engineer out ? £65"
I have the SKY HD sub and am in the UK.
No go in other channels as box won't switch to 23000.
This may not be down to Sky ,but maybe some of their people should stay across Boards .ie.
    Whats to be done?

Have you both missing channels back now?

No,but I am just off the phone to the same Sky people, when I explained the problem ,as a result of the info obtained from Boards.ie,all went quiet for a long time.
When the nice lady came back, she told me she was sending a signal to fix the problem and it could take 4 hours.
I shall await events, came dangerously close to cancelling Sky sub,and will now seriously look around for alternatives.

Can't touch the box until they send the signal, but will try the delete if that doesn't work .Can you remind me ,if you would be so kind ,of the ITV HD tuning details?so that I can re-enter them eventually.
How many people like me ,have faffed around for days with dishes,Lnb's,and phone calls to Sky.
Perhaps its a good way to increase revenue with a host of call out charges at £65.

That's what I'm currently doing with a Sky HD box. I much prefer Sky's EPG than Freesat's one. I can load the English EPG so have all the FTA channels, including C4HD, BBC1 HD, BBC HD and ITV HD. I can even record them using a work around.
Hello , How does your workaround work to record from the add channels?

Folks I'm in the process of switching from UPC HD to sky+ HD & have been keeping an eye on this thread. My sister has Sky+HD and I've had her check both BBC HD on the EPG & BBC1 HD in the other channels list an both work perfectly!

Does this only affect some sky+ HD customers (based on the box)? If so, what box should I request be installed when I get Sky+ HD??

You won't be able to tune on bbc hd one now.

The only people who have it are those who had it tuned in before the switch.

How does that work? Surely if they change how the signal is transmitted, it doesn't make a difference whether it was once tuned in before or after the switchover... Unless newer boxes can receive the new type of signal?

All the boxes can receive it but sky just don't allow the necessary parameter needed to tune it in.

    Easy enough to rectify.
First things first, go into your channel list and delete the existing ones.
Then go into the Menu - > Installation - > Transponder list
Select add a new transponder. Use the following details.
Use the values from here: http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php

    10847
    V
    23000
    DVB-S2 QPSK
    8/9
After adding it to the list, highlight it, select scan, fta scan, and let it run.
It should pick up BBC1HD, BBCHD and 6895 fairly quick. Stop the scan, exit and save. Voila, you're back in business.

Thanks for your suggestion, but alas it didn't work on the two year old Sky subscription Amstrad drx 780 UK box.
However after a spending most of yesterday talking to Sky ,on three different occasions,I believe I finally got them to listen to the fact that this was a problem due to the S2 change.I suppose they must have found an Engineer eventually,(Poss from Boards.ie)and they sent a download sometime in the last 24 hours which has fixed the problem.
In the meantime the rebuild on the box has wiped everything of course.
I find some little confusion on the thread between the fault people are finding on Sky UK sub boxes,Freesat boxes, and perhaps Sky Ireland boxes.
At least the problem has gone away and I can now turn my attention to the terrestial thread and Freeview HD ,IOM and Wales.Who needs Sky soon?

You won't get any irish channels on our Ross HD box I'm afraid.
It's slim pickings when it comes to fta/freesat hd too.

These are the only ones we can get
    BBC 1 HD 10.847 V 22000 5/6
    BBC HD 10.847 V 22000 5/6
    ITV 1 HD 10.936 V 22000 5/6
I think there are some regional variations of these ones above though.

    CHANNEL 4 HD 12.607 V 27500 3/4

    Luxury Life HD 12.643 H 27500 2/3
    STV HD 10.936 V 22000 5/6

Should have bought a combo box boys. They've been out a couple of years. They have an mpeg4 tuner for all the saorview channels. Mine is an Edision Argus HD, fantastic machine [150 euro].
Now you'll have to buy a second box for RTEs. What were you thinking!

Unless things have drastically changed, is there a great dearth of content we'll be missing on the Irish stations, lol? :P
I am/was well aware of the saorview issue and combo boxes. I just fancied a cheap and cheerful fta HD pvr sat box. Official freesat ones were/are still rather expensive and we're probably gonna look into a new lcd tv for saorview anywho. The Ross kit fit the bill for my needs.
