Unless things have drastically changed, is there a great dearth of content we'll be missing on the Irish stations, lol? :P

It all depends on personal taste I guess but I watch quite a bit of Irish tv.

Do you still have bbc 1 hd still in your other channels?
No as suggested on the thread ,as part of the fix I wiped all the "Other channels"Don't need to add BBC1 HD as I already get it on the SKY HD box with the sub.

I have a Panasonic PZ81B TV with the freesat HD reciever. A rescan does not bring back BBC/1 HD channels.

The solution appears to be to do a full factory reset.

I currently can still get the RTE DVB channels because I scanned them when they were still testing and the famous flag was set to allow this. I stored the channel info to an SD card using the hotel setup function.

Now, if I do a factory reset, I will lose the DVB channels, but will get the HD channels. Anyone know if I then load the channel info from the SD card whether I will get back the DVB channels but lose the HD ones again or will I then have both the HD and DVB channels?

Just for the benefit of those with Mvision boxes trying tune in BBC HD and BBC One HD and unfamiliar with transponders and such (as I was - with thanks from sky23 post of 14-02-2011)

Menu > Installation > Satellite Search
(Warning - zeros are default passcode)
    - Press the red button (TP edit)
    - Now press the green button (TP add)
    - Satellite: Astra 2A/2D (28.2E)
    - Frequency: 10847
    - Symbol Rate (write over this number by keying in): 23000
    - Polarization (I left this as was): Vertical-13V
    - Modulation: DVB-S2 QPSK
    - Pilots (I left at default): Off
    - FEC (whatever that is!): 8/9

    - then select start search and you are should be set (woohoo!)

For anyone with a Triax ST-HD527C who have lost BBC HD here is a quick guide on how to re tune

Instructions for tuning BBC HD on the TRIAX 527.
    1. Menu
    2. User installation
    3. Channel search
    4. Satellite channel search
    5. Satellite = astr / euro
    6. Press RED button to edit mode
    7. Key in frequency: 10847
    8. Key in symbol rate: 23000
    9. Polarisation should be: VER
    10. Search sat 1 ok

There is one further option to avoid tuning in all the non viewable pay channels.
Before proceeding with number 10. above select the menu button. Select FTA only option from drop down menu then proceed with number 10.

This FTA only option is also available when completing a factory default reset. It keeps the ALL channel listing a little more manageable.

Apologies if this has been brought up before but both my BBC HD and BBC 1 HD have been giving No Satelite Signal for a while now. Is there a fix?

If you're missing BBC One HD & BBC HD + Channel 4 HD and all other channels are OK, then your equipment isn't DVB-S2 compatible. There is no "fix" to rectify the problem except to invest in new DVB-S2 equipment.

What satellite receiver do you have?

The receiver may be DVB-S2, check the install menu there may be a DVB-S/DVB-S2 setting.

    Try reinstalling the channels DVB-S2 10847 V 23000-8/9 QPSK

As you say Crush, it depends on the receiver he's using. I know that a lot of Panasonic TV owners here & in the UK has to do a factory reset or full auto set up to find the DVB-S2 BBC channels 'cause the BeeB didn't change the SID's for the altered channels & therfore as far as the TV was concerned no change had taken place since the SID's were the same. Channel 4 HD was a different story & just needed to be tuned using DVB-S2 in the modulation setting. So it'sup to Bullseye1 to let you guys know which kind of receiver he has.

If your receiver is a sky receiver then you will need to delete the BBC channels from the other channels menu then re-boot the box. You should get BBC HD back but not BBC1 HD I'm afraid.

A blogpost on the BBC website says today..

    Full Blog Post Here

Does this mean that those of us with Sky+HD box who have BBCOneHD tuned in Via other channels option will now loose the channel as i believe Sky+HD boxes cannot tune DVB-S2 (Like Channel 4HD)
When I lost the BBC HD Channels a few weeks ago,due to the S2 change I called Sky quite a few times to inform them that there was a problem.
At first the Sky "Tech" people advised me to Reboot etc, after refering them to Boards, they eventually corrected the fault and the channels appeared again.A few days later an on screen message appeared to the effect that they had sent a software download.
I posted some of this during the Boards thread.
I have a Sky UK HD Amstrad box and subscription, but being N,Ireland no UTV HD,in spite of what they seemed to be flagging up during the Queens visit.
    Hope this helps.

Channel 4 HD transponder change (via tvtrade.ie Blog) ::
    url]http://www.tvtrade.ie/blog/channel-4-hd-frequency-change-moved-to-astra-1n/[/url
Even though it has moved satellite, you can still treat is as a normal manual scan and the settings are as follows.

    Frequency: 11127
    Symbol Rate: 22000
    Polarization: V (Vertical)
    (optional ID=21200 Fec:2/3 DVB-S2)

if this doesn’t work, change FEC to 7/8

Tip: Mvision users can manuall type in the Frequency 11127 (not use the left/right arrows)
