Some great losses on here tonight. Keep up the good work. Here in France, I have been eating out, so not very pp friendly! But, there's not much choice, especially when you're at Disney with 2 kids! Will worry about it when I get home. At least with my husband not being here, I'm not having any cheap french wine - I wouldn't be bothered drinking on my own & will just have an early night.

up .5lb at wi  so dissapointed with myself not with the weight gain but when I got home I ate a big bar of chocolate, a bar of Cadbury Caramello, the big one & I enjoyed every single mouthful at the time but now I just feel blah, amazing how our bodies react after foods which we haven't eaten for ages. Since January I dont go overboard with my after wi treat but this evening was just one of those days.

ADVICE PLEASE: Anyone that is maintaining, do you know how long after you reach your goal weight do you get your Gold card, my leader was rushing us so much this evening that I didn't get a chance to ask (well afraid to ask her, she's not the most helpful). I have only had 2 wi's since reaching goal, did someone mention that you have to maintain for 4 wi's to get your card?

    Nervous about WI tomorrow...

I was up by 3.5 last week which I think I can attribute to a false low the week prior due to bad dehydration the morning I weighed in, but if my loss is low again I will be seriously dissapointed.

If I ignore the 4LBS lost under dehydration and the 3.5 put on the next week, I,ve lost less than 2LBS in 4 weeks?!

I'vehad to park the running/walking for the last wek or so, feet/legs killing me.
The one positive is that I was able to(just) stick to my dailies and weeklies.

Once Biggest looser finishes ...22:45..i'm off to bed, to get some vital sleep!!

    fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Glad things going well so far. Poor cat, my fella was meowing in my face at 2am, it's usually mid summer before he's up that early! Maybe it's a sign for a great summer ahead. He's fast to the world beside me now, you'd think butter wouldn't melt

Good luck for rest of the week. Enjoy the phone.

Well I'm officially baffled by what my body is at these past few weeks. After a really, really bad two weeks food wise I was down 1lb last week. This week was another really, really bad week for food. TOTM meant I had most of my weeklies gone by Friday. Friday night we had Eddie Rockets (after I had used all my dailies btw), Saturday was ok-ish, Sunday we had chipper and then went to cinema where I ate one of those big bags of malteasers and then last night was buffalo wings, fillet steak and giant ince-cream profiteroles from Luigi Malones. I had the "in for a penny" mentality because I was convinced the last few weeks would catch up with me this week.

I was down 2.5lbs at my weigh-in tonight!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone in this thread. I joined last week and I've been reading this thread and it's been great - so full of inspiration and tips.

I had my first weigh in today and I lost 2 pounds. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm trying to keep reminding myself that if I do this slowly the good habits that I pick up are more likely to stick.

Does anyone have any tips for eating out. I'm crap at estimating portion sizes. I know how many points are in 40g brown bread, but I've no clue what the slice in front of me in a cafe weighs. I don't want to be the crazy lady bring her scales with her everywhere, but I'm tempted. :)

BTW, for any beer drinkers, in the meeting I was at this morning, the leader told us about a beer that is 1 point per bottle. I think it is called Carling. It's a regular sized bottle, but it's lighter and only has 99 calories a bottle. I don't drink beer so I've no idea if it's a good one or not, but I thought some of you might be interested.

"And in a bit later I'm going to have rhubarb with an oatmeal crumble sweetened with abit of splenda. 3 points for this. And simply delicious!"

This sounds like its just up my street! Is it just oatmeal and spenda or have you added something else to the crumble?

I'm desperate for ideas, I was up .5lb today and even though its not too much I was up 1lb week. I'm only 3lb away from goal and it just seems to be slipping further and further away. I'm still weighing my food, drinking my water, tracking, excercising and desperate! HELP!!

Don't worry, just keep doing what ur doing, it happens like that took me 5/6 weeks to lose that last few lb to goal and then lost 3.5 one week out of the blue. Then you will find it very easy to maintain, just wait and see, you'll be chuffed...

It's 3-4 weeks I think. I remember at the time thinking it was 5-6 and being surprised when it was shorter. You just have to stay 5 lbs within goal weight, it's great, really easy compared to feeling you have to be down every week. Though I'm 5 up the moment so trying to lose again ha! For a while you try to keep losing so oh have room to pig out when you want but life gets in the way. Enjoy it.

Velleity, congrats on the 2lbs down. Anything down is going in the right direction!
I know exactly where you're coming from with the scales - I brought mine into work last Saturday! It's only my second week of WW sio I figure I'm allowed to be a bit obsessional!!:D

Have some zero point soup before you go out, so you aren't starving and ready to demolish everything in sight! :)
Ask if you can have a half portion - they'll prob still charge you the full price but it's worth it, rather than ruining your hard work.
    Get sauces/dressings on the side
When they come with the dessert menu, ask them to come back in a few mins. My leader reckons they will wait about 10mins and by then you won't want dessert. I always say that I'm going to try this but I'm weak and have no willpower :P:P:P

Welcome Velleity - another tip someone gave me which I found really helped was to look at the menu (online) before going out. Then you can decide on a healthy option before being tempted when you're starving. Well done on the 2lb loss and best of luck.

Well everyone, I had my WI last night and I was UP - yes UP - 1.5lbs. I was kind of expecting it as I'm waiting on TOTM to arrive. Although I did loads of excercise this week and kept to my points until yesterday when I went back to work. My boss had been in Italy and brought us all back LOADS of choccies! :p Obviously, I didn't want to offend her so I had to eat a heap of them!!! Anyway, back on track now for a good week - fingers crossed.

Well done to all the losers!

Don't know how I managed not to binge on food last night but I didn't :D Was wrecked after my exam and really wanted handy fast food but I still cooked an omlette for dinner.

Lainy my mum got the digital scales you use but it shows up a different figure if you move it even slightly. It's kinda hard to tell which is right.

Well done on all the losses seems like a good week for most. Hopefully I'll be joining ye tonight. And to those who were up keep at it :)

Newbie here :o I joined (finally) last night. I have a fair bit to lose so im really going to try my best and stick at it. My downfall is wine, cheese and savoury snacks but its really good to know that i can still eat them within my allowances and love the 49 weeklies too.

So Day 1 for me, tracker is on my desk here in work. Had already been on the porridge buzz but made it with water this morning instead of milk and weighed the 30gms so not off to a bad start......its the weekend im dreading already lol!

Down .5lb last night. Happy enough with that as I didn't go last week and had two bad weeks. I know being sick was the only reason I was actually down but I'm determined to be super good this week. My weight loss is ridiculously slow (6lbs in as many weeks) but I'm determined to smash through the 7lb mark next week!

    Welcome aboard Annie!

I started the Thursday before easter and really thought I must've been mad with the amount of chocolate about the place, but despite getting 2 easter eggs there is still one and a half surviving, unheard of in this house, normally they wouldn't have lasted till easter Monday.

I've my second WI tomorrow and so far finding the Pro points program really good, it does encourage you to make better decisions foodwise. I do find on the days I work I need to have a plan for what I'm going to eat and maybe get it ready the night before cos weighing and all that takes time in the morning.

I'm loving this thread, you get great tips and it's like a mini meeting every day! Oh and watch out for fabby delish recipes too.

Well Ive had a bad two weeks, have been sick for one WI and then couldnt make this weeks WI. Had wedding at the weekend, and then just rushing about meeting people, eating totally bad food, and too much drink. Feel like crap now because of it! Really trying hard now to stick to points and have a good week. I dont mind even if I STS next week, as long as im not up. Any one have any good ideas for motivation and keeping on track??? :(

Caros, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s getting a bit of a scale obsession. I’m in my second week too – I’m hoping that after a while I‘ll be better at judging portion size.

Shoe Lover, thanks for those tips. Asking for a half portion is something I never thought of. Right now because I’ve been eating badly for so long my stomach has adjusted, and I’m not great at reading my bodies “I’m full. Enough already with the pasta” signs. If it’s on my plate, I’ll usually eat it.

Bubbaloo, good suggestion about looking up the menus before hand. I’ll def try that. I love/hate when people in the office bring chocolate back from a holiday. It’s so easy to eat loads before you even realise what you are doing.

Baby75, you’re right, any loss is a loss, so I am happy with my loss. If I hadn’t joined, I’d probably be up two pounds.

I wonder if WW charge us so much because they know otherwise we might waste that money on chocolate and biscuits and pizza.

Tantipie, congrats on getting your gold card next week. Any tips for how to get there?

And thanks to everyone who has been supplying recipes. It’s great to have a list of things I can try so I don’t get too bored with what I’m eating. WW seem to be supply a lot less recipes then I remember from last time, so it’s great to have all of you here supplying them.
