"Slightly increased" risk of genetic defects? Even the effects of marrying between relations twice or three times removed are a problem. The Romanovs (Russian royal family) ended up with a very high incidence of haemophilia and were on the decline by 1917: the children were dying of it.

In 2008, the Times reported concerns about the rate of birth defects among Pakistani families in the UK, who keep arranging marriages between cousins. Quote: "Medical research suggests that while British Pakistanis are responsible for 3% of all births, they account for one in three British children born with genetic illnesses." And that's cousins, not siblings.

If there's a "cultural taboo" against incest ... why do you think that is? Taboos don't just pop up at random: they happen for a reason, even if that reason is apparently lost over the centuries.

I'd like to be there when someone suggest it to their sibling, offers the consent form with their signature already on it and points hopefully to the space for their signature, only to be greeted with a "no. not now, not ever".

I'd like to see them go back to a normal happy family after that.

I find it disgusting, even if they are consenting adults. For instance, on xHamster there is one video called: Dirty Lesbian Twins, disgraceful stuff. Every so often I check to see if it is still there and to my shock and dismay, it always is. As is a video entitled: Lovely Twins, which contains two English girls spanking and fondling one another. I mean seriously, just what is this world coming to at all.
