wasn't one of the batmans showing when the channels were removed?

Any UPC insiders got the scoop?
the 01:00 programmes are only showing up when you use the quick option of scrolling up and down the channels. Going into actual guide has the 3 of them completely blank going forward.

Doesn't seem they are back :(

looks like upc/itv werent expecting the major backlash and have now come to some sort of compromise with them coming back but blocking out american idol, xtra factor, coronation street etc.... oh wait sure that means there will be feck all on them...why would they actually bother????

Because they do actually have other stuff on them. They are comparitively minor channels so they were always going to have less on them than the primary channels but that doesn't mean there's no point to them - otherwise we'd end up with 5 or 6 channels in total. If they come back only missing the likes of the programmes you cite there + other stuff that can already be seen on other channels like TV3, but they still allow stuff like Celebrity Juice, then it's all good. And if it does resolve like that then UPC deserve some (rare) credit for resolving it in what is a pretty speedy turnaround time.

For the last few days there has been mumblings that the loss of ITV was about money.
Infairness, does anyone think it was anything other than money?

As the thread relates to ITV2,3 and 4, the only way to get these free to air is via Freesat or Freeview.

Or even 'Free to Air', like I have!

That article is almost a week old. It's thought that there may be new developments imminent.

I don't want to jump to any crazy ideas but listings have appeared for all the ITVs from 1am tonight onwards... replacing the current "Channel is no longer available" listings.

Well in the case of my crowd, embracing new technology would be a really weird idea!
they would feel lost if they did not get a bill for something they could get for free!:p

Strange going's on at UPC as of time of this post.

Comedy Central+1 is showing a movie with Alan Alda, but the EPG says it should be 'Live at the Apollo'

Lot of channels pixalating,in my experiance that is a sign of changes to come overnight.

wonder will the return of the ITV's slow down the new channels 'coming soon' UPC rushed to tell their customers about?

    Hmmmmmmmmmm :)

The full EPG is back on all channels but just a black screen at the moment. It doesn't have the "this channel was removed" anymore

I noted the channel listings last night but from 1am and still now, we have listings but no pictures. Anyone contact UPC about it?

What's the point? They've said the channels have been removed as of April 1st and there have been no new announcements since. This is probably just their engineers doing housekeeping.
