i like the idea of a railed thompson , but the cybergun one is a case of lazy designers ooh look lets put a rail here there and everywhere and call it new

**** went soar on his show and he absolutely 1150% capitalized on getting people on his side, and has taken flavor of the month to a whole new level.

Can't help but believe its a marvelous ploy of media spinning on his part. Could well still be banged of hits tits, but hes literally the most recognizable face in the world right now.

i've actually seen some rather interesting 'future war' thompsons with a bit of sci fi in miniture gaming, also another one is in bioshock

UMP would probably be the most natural evolution of it in one sense. All this talk of one, however, is making me want to get one and overhaul it with polymer parts and body upgrades for funsies.
