He's black, he's cool, he's the Black Bill Clinton. Yes his country still murders arabs abroad and supports corrupt regimes but people will be out in their droves because we are yankee wannabees really in Ireland!

Agreed, but you must wonder why?! Perhaps he's not in line with their usual agenda.

because he's an isolationist, I'd like nothing better than for him to win, but it aint gonna happen.

He is unpopular for several reasons - I think looking to one you agree with personally, is rather short sighted.

    Tell me so

Ron Paul is even polling behind Sarah Palin at this point - where in the world are you getting your information from?

    1. Palin won't win - we all know that now.
    2. Paul hasn't even said he would run yet.
    3. Wait until the campaigns start - and his supporters will come out in their droves again.

By your logic Fox should love Obama the way they did bush.

Ron Paul 2012! You're the last one who can save this world, sir.

Nope, because Obama plays lip service to social justice, you must be anti social justice and pro war to be the special flower of Pox news.

Are we that desperate to welcome such a manipulative elitist? How people can't see that this man is George Bush 2.0 is beyond me. Gotta love mainstream media. But don't worry, the Americans see him for what he is - he won't win again next year. He's really unpopular in the States - it seems we'll welcome just about anyone though.

That's commie talk if ever I heard it, back to the hills with you Bin Laden.

Barack Obama bombs Libya, George W Bush also bombed countries. They are pretty much the same, their domestic policies might differ slightly but US domestic policy is non of my concern.

I want an isolationist president in the US.

perhaps because he's crazy? perhaps because he's racist? perhaps because he's a conspiracy theorist?

    take your pick! :pac:

I know Palin won't win. And anyone with an ounce of sense knows that Ron Paul won't win. I admire his honesty and consistency, and he is a welcome voice in American politics, but there is no way in hell that he will be the GOP nominee in 2012.

because he is not a neo-con, simple as, anything not falling into line with that way of thinking is wrong in their eyes. neo-cons believe america must police the world, that numerous evil forces exist that want to destroy america, paul wants to close american bases abroad, wants to cut military spending. just listen to his interview last night where he said the libya thing should have been dealt with internally by the arab league.

Fox despises Ron Paul - they hate his guts for no apparent reason. They even discredit their own poll for crying out loud when he wins them! LOL
    Their pathetic.

    Youtube video

While I agree Fox is pathetic - I disagree with one point. Fox don't hate Ron Paul.
...They just hate everyone that don't have "Republican" after their name.

it's hardly no apparent reason, as stated, he's a strict libertarian. Republicans only pay lip service to fiscal conservatism. They are in fact a socially conservative party.

GWB= largest federal expansion in half a century and all the sweet contracts to their cronies that went with it.

the operation in libya is to stop genocide on a massive scale, you could argue the merits of iraq and afghanistan but neither were for that purpose, its not surprising france is involved in this whereas they were huge opponents of military action in iraq

I would go one step further and say they hate anyone who veers from a very specific agenda. Those who don't fall in are branded "RINOS": Republicans In Name Only. Basically anyone in the GOP who is a moderate, is willing to work with Democrats, or who is not a hawk goes on the Fox ****-list. God forbid anyone be capable of independent thought.

Yes I would welcome him. He's an amazing president - left with a poison chalice, I think he's doing an excellent job considering the way things were when he took the torch.

The sheer amount of stupidity in this thread astounds me. Ignorant, stupid people will always hate americans and their presidents regardless of what happens.

    (Genuine question)

I though he went independent for the last pres' election?

(Point still stands about Fox and "anyone but republicans")

he didn't get the party nomination so he ran independent. iirc tbf.

he's not a hawk, simple as, and his strict libertarianism is not palatable to the republicans at all.

Ok just for consistency you were ok with Bush's visit too then?

Are you suggesting that Ron Paul is even in the same ball park as Bush?

    No, but neither is Obama
Ron Paul is unequivocally anti-war. Obama loves nothing better than a good old bombing of the Afghans. Nothing has changed and it would be naive to think it.

Nothing has changed because the US' interests are the same as they were 10 years ago, and most likely will not have changed in 10 years time.

    Why??

He expanded the Afghan war, fails to close guantanamo, recently reallowed israelis to build in palestinian areas. I don't mind him, but he's not God. He needs to be held accountable for some of his actions, not sympathised because "he's not Bush".

Paul provided the best lols ever in the run up to the republican nominations last time, he absolutely ran away with every single debate, and they were on fox!

    Classic stuff..
