Perhaps women like us didnt actually know what way the show would turn out. I will make one point and sideline productions edited that show something terrible and you will notice that a certain number of girls were the ones talking ALL the time. This show did not reflect half of the attitudes and positivity we had during recordings. I am glad that i didnt get to speak much as i would hate to have been edited and made look like a "bitch" as you have said. They clearly edited the show to suit a type of audience. They did it for entertainment value and sadly it has not reflected well on us. they made some of us look like fools and those who they left out, got tarred with the same brush.

that's a great point and I hadn't considered that, i suppose the editing does highlight what the nutters or nasty ladies say giving an impression that they're all like that and giving a bad name to the many sound girls who appeared on the show

Hmmm, Ruby-J, I don't want this to sound to harsh but I don't know why people crying "Editing!" when they are not portrayed as they would like on shows such as this. These shows are made to be as entertaining as possible and if the contestants don't provide that, it will be manipulated in the editing. Anyone even a little savvy knows that.

I agree with this. I have nobody in mind while I'm typing this, but I think if contestants acted like a bitch on the show then they can hardly blame the editing for making them look a bitch. Okay the show can be edited to give the most entertaining contests more airtime (ie: Olwyn) but I think contestants realised that and they all knew that they could be as controversial or as conservative as they wanted to be.

Here's that podcast if anyone is interested to see what goes on behind-the-scenes for a contestant on the show. It's towards the end:

I believe they are auditioning for series 3. Dont know when it'll be though.

I've never met Olwyn....she was series 2. I was gone when they started filming 2. Ah, I did watch all of series 2 but it's not quite the same when u don't know any of the girls!!

Still think Series 1 kicked Series 2's ass!!!!! :) Except for Olwyn, she's series 2 saviour!!!

posting from mobile so bear with me, lol, but obviously there was something your EX didnt appreciate about you, hence why he's obviously your ex... obviously a bit of a numpty because you seem like a nice girl, would you ever consider applying for a spot if they did a third series of take me out? :) i can just imagine you'd be entertaining anyway! :D;)

    Just spotted this now!

No, I dumped my ex, I'll have you know! :p

Would never go on a show like this. I'm an introvert and I could never be as cruel as is required!

    Indeed :pac:

Wounder if it will be the same as last season, i.e the girls not going on any of the dates due to "his shoes" etc...Also the Irish girls compared to the UK ones seem to like hogging the tv time (go on a date = end of their time on TV3) ...patethic...

The girls on the English version get to go on a sun holiday if they're picked. That's a significant inducement not to turn out your light. I doubt the Irish girls would be as picky if there was a similar reward.

The blond lady Dione I've seen out in Cork loads and loads of times, not surprised she reckons that lad with the shiny trousers is dressed well.
