Just seen Androidify on the Android Market website. Don't know whether or not this is a MUST HAVE app but it'll amuse me for a short time anyway.:o

It amused me for a few minutes but I think it is interesting beyond that.
Google were reported to be hiring developers to produce Android apps (beyond the usual suspects that are linked to existing Google websites) and I wonder if this is an early product of that program.

Anyway I'm just bitter since it knocked one of my apps from the #1 spot on AppBrains hot today list.

I heard about an app that you can use if you lose your android phone, and then txt it to get a reply in the form of a google maps link.
Can anyone recommend me one of these? Preferably one that can turn on the GPS coz I dont want to have that on all the time.

    cheers.

Lookout does the job. You don't text it though you create an account on their site and find the phone through that.

Came accross this Twitter app today and was wondering if there was a generic app which uses tilt scrolling available, for reading long posts/blogs/newspapers etc?

Didn't see this app mentioned previously, serious time saver for those business cards without QR code!

Just got this 'Scanner Radio' app for free.

Very cool, ok it only does American police radio but it can run in the background like a radio and you can set a sleep timer to turn it off. It has the codes for all the crimes in a list as well so you know what they are talking about like "10-32" means man with gun.

Chicago cops are the most addictive so far. A busy city !!

Juice defender and those others as well or just Juice defender on its own? You have Ultimate Juice installed as well? What phone you have?

    Cheers,

Cool, how long is that mate? Two full days on one charge? Are there any good HTC Desire HD ROMS you could recommend for increasing battery life?

    Cheers,

Does this need your phone internet connection to be permantley on for this to work? In other words how does it tell your phone to switch on your GPS in order to find it?
    Cheers.

Pintail is exactly what you are looking for. No need for websites or account creation, just simple and easy to use. Turns on GPS for about 5 secs and off again

Hi Tim, have you tried Apps Installer? There is a uninstall tab that's easy to use. Here s the links to Download.

    dP8aQW.qrcode?s=166

Scan this with your barcode scanner Tap to open and download
    Tap once more to install.

    Or

From you android phone while browsing this page,
Tap this link to download http://bit.ly/dP8aQW
    Tap once more to install.

    How to uninstall
    1. Open App,
    2. Open the uninstall tab at the top,
    3. Find WiFi hotspot 1.00 , tap it to uninstall.

If this doesn't work post a reply and ill find other alternative Apps to try.

    Hope this helps,
    Ger.

Have you installed it? com.feelingtouch.physical-1.apk...seems a bit dodgy to me? Not even the name of the game??

Update to the Gingerbread keyboards (it's available in the market) and the voice recognition functionality is built in for SMS, Email etc. It works well too.
