So you have decided to vote SF, can you please explain how we maintain public spending at 2010 levels, drop the USC, finance a €40,000,000,000 spending gap while refusing to take EU and IMF loans.

    Because Gerry cant.

you wont get a straight answer from sf ,no more than you will from sf supporter
we saw how gerry ads didnt answer the questions last nite, just some sf gibberish

Micheál Martins attack on Gerry Adams "how dare you talk about fraud among politicians and among people down here in the republic" This comment from the leader of FF the supposedly "Republican Party". The tone of his attack suggest that he doesnt regard Gerry to be as Irish as the rest of us, and that the partioned 6 northern counties as being a foreign country! Makes me laugh. Hopefully people will finally see FF for what they are! Not that i'm raving mad about SF either

Oh we know how politics works all right, the great thing about it is that we can vote for who we want to, no matter what others will try to say, or how they try to label us.

Of course you can vote for anyone you want. Thereafter you must live with the consequence, how will you get your wages paid if you have no bank account after idiot Gerry has closed all the banks?

Sinn Féin economic policies are not likened by the the main political parties. Mainly due to the fact, their economic policies in essence do care more about the rights of the ordinary Irish citizen, than protecting until ad-nauseum Irish banks and Europeans banks, which have done nothing since 2008, but show a complete lack of respect for every Irish Citizen in this country.

Our economic woes, will not be fixed by the FG party, like somehow in this bizarre universe we live in, by Sinn Fein claiming we should not burden the Irish Taxpayer with repaying large "Private" debts belonging to people that in large part do not even live in this country, that this would be viewed by the main political parties in Ireland like/ FF and FG and Labour as fantasy policies, well is very funny at least to me, the fact is Sinn Fein were not in office during this financial mess that started in 2008 and probably much further back then that, FF were in fact holding power in 2010, and this state ran out of cash to fund itself for the future in 2010 on their watch, well that to me says alot about their economic knowledge and cleverness, when you cause the very country you've been representing to run out of cash to keep public services running!

Ireland is just a small piece in the bigger jigsaw puzzle, that would be Europe. The Euro currency is going to collapse it unavoidable, not a prediction as all, as economic situations do clearly show, that the debts of nations like Spain and Italy, and the unwillingness of France and Germany to bail them out, will cause the fall of the Euro. I only bring this to attention of people reading this, as the Euro crisis, and our Irish banking crisis are very much linked, as one of the reasons we even got bailed out in the first place was to protect the Euro from falling in 2010!
sf dont have policys,sf dont have solutions,
sf cant even explain where they will get the 16 billions too run the country and 50 billion as well, there leader couldnt even tell anyone how, just more sf gibberish

Don't agree at all. At the moment, even with things as bad as they are, we have the highest social welfare rate in Europe and that certainly wasn't with SF in power. One thing Ireland does is look after the poor.

So he's a nice lad, you think he'll help the poor.
The problem is that if you trust a guy who doesn't even know the current vat rate to turn around this country's economic problems, we'll all be poor pretty soon.
At least your saying your voting for him cause you like him rather saying your voting for him because he's going to turn the country around with his magical economics like some

Pretty clear from this thread that none of them are voting for SF for any rational or defensible reasons.

Also it's pretty laughable that SF are saying they'll get rid of the IMF or renegotiate the deal. Every country in the world borrows at the same rate from the IMF and it's about a third of the rate our bonds were trading at on the international market. It's the equivalent of turning down a bank loan and going around to the loan shark around the corner.

You might think about not borrowing that money at all !!

all party's are repubilican ,looking at last nights debate, when gormely asked why not all party's get together for 3 years for sake of country, put there politics behind them and put country and people first
did any of leaders say anything,no,they changed the subject, which say it all,all in it for there pockets,,sf couldnt even say how they would fund the country first fot 16 billion and then 50 billion, gerry, just went on a rant per normal,

If the leader of the party at a national debate couldn't even attempt to answer the question I guess it's unlikely their supporters could either.

And what about Martin making committments to reform the political system and involve industry experts who are not elected! (a good idea in my opinion) Why didnt thew do this any time over the last 14 years or even at the least when the financial crisis came upon us! I wouldnt blame any of the other 3 from not wanting to form a unity government with either the greens or FF cause they have been proven to be useless! The country is better off witout them!

I'm not Sinn Fein Supporter firstly, but I don't see how you could claim the economic policy we have now, is far better than the Sinn Fein economic policy.

Their saying "default" now while we have a chance to repair the country, the fact that is not been mentioned here, is the percentage interest rate on the bail out can't be payed ever, as we don't have enough Irish citizens in this country to pay the bloody thing. So default is going to happen anyway.

I was thinking voting for them in this election have not previously done so!
