John Martin pale ale. A malty very sweet beer on tap in Belgium. Too sweet for me to have another.

Belfast Black, half a bottle has just gone into a pot of shepherd's pie, half into me. :D

Moved onto Ramée Triple Blond another strong tasting beer.
Hops and a sweet fruity taste but not as strong as the John Martins.

Went into Tescos in Baggot street to buy a few London Pride's, the price which was 1.99 for ages is gone up to 2.49, don't know if thats just Baggot St. shop.

I noticed that as well in Kinnegad so it seems to be everywhere then. Shame as I wanted some beer but on principal a 50c increase is just inexcusable so I left without buying any beer.

I would have paid for O'Hara's at €2.69 (assuming that has not gone up too) if they had any.

Cherry Flavour Beer. 2.4% Bit mad. Kind of a pinkish purplish colour in the glass so its "for the ladies".

Has anyone ever tried the Floris sp? cherry beer ?
I was thinking of running it as a new line but would like a few peoples experiences of it.
And while were at it any other recommondations for sone new lines.

I can't remember what the name of it was but the Oslo bar in Salthill Galway had a Strawberry beer on Draught yesterday. Didn't try it but who knows.

Might be good as a "Beer of the Month" but that might be about it.

Floris are pretty nice but very sweet - good range of flavours too.
Nothing like a good Kriek - it's a flavoured wit beer.
    Popular.

Probably Fruli. VERY popular, but again not my kind of thing.

The people who make Fraoch Heather Ale and Kelpie Seaweed Ale do a Tayberry beer called Roisin and a Gooseberry beer called Groset - all excellent beers IMO.
Not sure who distributes them but they are around.

One thing I noticed is if you buy the leffe 4 pack it's something like 6.99, but it's only 1.99 per bottle so it's cheaper to just by 4 bottles

It's very very sugary sweet. Not a good beer but there' definitely a market for it.

Think Irish! O'Hara's (especially the new Leann Folláin Extra Stout and IPA), Dungarvan, Porterhouse, Whitewater, Clanconnel.

Just picked up some bottles of Porterhouse Hop Head in Odd Bins Baggot St. definitely their nicest beer, don't know why its not available all year round, any way at the moment when you buy 4 bottles of any Porterhouse beers you get a free branded tulip glass.

I think its around 2.99 for O' Haras range in Dublin . Apart from when its available in the 4 for a tenner offer in Redmonds I haven't seen it any cheaper.

I understand a lot of it got shipped abroad lately. Buy more to keep it in stock here!

It's usually about €2.69 in Superquinn, though they've just started a new round of 6-for-€12 and it's generally included in that.

How is cheaper to buy just four bottles?

    4*1.99= €7.96

Maybe it was 1.59. I can't remember the exact price but it was something around 50c cheaper to get the 4 bottles separately

Do you know when it starts?

Also, do you know what is included in the offer. With the last one around Christmas, it was billed (if I remember rightly) as World Beers, 6 for 12. However, I was never too sure if some of the wheat beers were included or if it was confined to the picture on the brochure. I asked on my local Superquinn but the lad I asked was unsure?

    Cheers

drinking a PT BTL of MACARDLES.
a very nice ruby red colour.
taste wise it is ok,it seems a small bit flat.

earlier this eve i had 2 btls of Dungarvan
the blonde ale which i think is one of the nicest drinks i have tasted and
a btl of the red ale, also very good.

the WINE WELL in Dunboyne now stock all 3 Dugarvan beers
after i asked them would/could the get me a few btls.

Cheers Off-license in Brady's Pub Shankill has 5 x bottles of Brew Dog for €10, with a free brew-dog pint glass. A real bargain, if you ask me.
So I'm settling into a nice bottle of 5am Saint.

    Just back from London.

Noticed that Porterhouse beers are for sale at a mini bar upstairs in Terminal 2 .... Excellent stuff! I just realised too late, had to go to catch my plane so no time for a pint. Next time.

In London ended up drinking two scottish cask ales the night before last night, two pints of each. Piper's gold was a pale ale, 3.8%, straw-coloured and very drinkable. Vital Spark was a darker winter warmer, 4.4% and likewise inherently the kind of thing you could kill several pints of without feeling any strain. Both from Fyne Ales in Argyllshyre.

The next night I had a bit of a Medley of various Fullers, Deuchars IPA and two rather bizarre little 275ml bottles of Fullers pale ale in bottle, 3.5%. As I commented to my brother, ideal for children (joke).

Tonight just had a Harviestown bitter 'n twisted. Probably the most impressive thing I've drank in months- definitley recommend it.

I only discovered this for the first time a few weeks ago. Marvellous beer.

Tonight though, I'm drinking a bottle of Guinness. Far superior to the canned muck.

    Just picked up the following:

    Adnam's Innovation
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo
    Flying Dog Double Dog
    Flying Dog Snake Dog

Now I have to decide in which order to drink them.
