Well basically My brother was home for x-mas about a week be4 x-mas day and was staying in the spare room. I keep books and old note copies for school in there. So basically. I was doing my exams and wanted to grab a few copied before I went into school so I went into the room and grabbed the copies I thought were mine. When I got into school I opened one of the copies and the first words that popped out at me was ''I told him I was gay''. I flicked to another page and and I found a list of people who he had came out to and was planning to and my family is next. I know now my parents won't really want him to be gay at all.
I know now that since my brother will prob come out in the next few weeks or so and and my parents will be looking at me for grand kids and to keep on the family name. I actually feel like I have to get married to a woman and have kids to make them happy because If they knew that they created two gay kids they would feel like failures and I don't want that because I really love my them and they mean so much to me.
I was trying to accept my sexuality but now I feel like I have to stop and be straight!
    What should I do?
Be honest I don't really mind what ye say and I'm posting here in after hours because I wanted to get more opinions than just jump around and be gay!
    !

well, first you'll have to get that monkey off your back. n i'm not referring to your brother just lose the whole gay complex. that way you might actually want to marry a woman instead of having to? n if you can flick a bean like yer such a fcuking quaint dab hand flicking through em pages; you're already at an advantage. then you might wanna bloke up. grab a few vbs; get out on the range n shoot a few billy cans. if just to take yer mind off that other cock back home

n you & your brother can jump around and be gay all you like; but yer no paddy & jimmy.

    And further to that OP,

Same-sex couples will probably be allowed to marry in the next 5 years anyway. And you could have kids in your name and possibly with your own DNA if you do that whole IVF or cloning thing. There could be wonders in medical science in the next 10-20 years too. Also, don't get married just to pass on the family name, etc.. Do it only if you love the person, man or woman. Personally I totally disagree with marriage in general, I'd sooner agree with polygamous marriage than a marriage just between two.

Dude you will just end up badly hurting a wife in the future if you pretend to be straight and you will definitely mess up any possible kids life as eventually you will realise you should have just been who you are and be gay

Also if you're gay you wouldnt find it easy to get it up with a woman. You'd be good at fashion though.

Fuck sake man, it's not 1993!

Springsteen went to to all the trouble of writing a song to help obliterate homophobia and more precisely how it effect the how HIV and AIDs victims and how they were being treated as a direct result of that.

Now you are asking what you should do, 17 years later??

Stop pretending to be something you're not for a start.

OP - Living a lie is one of the most self- destructive things anyone can do.

Second, why do you feel the need to post this not just on boards.ie, but also on Gaire and many other Internet forums? You know the answer to your question so why keep putting thus thread up again and again and again?

Or are you trolling and looking for a laugh?

    OP, you are a timewaster!

You started this in Personal Issues forum and the LGBT forum just this week and I gave good advice in both!

Not the first time you've done this
You posted on your father's driving licence about four times now and you were told not by me:
Well fúcking post the update in the original thread then - don't keep starting new ones! Is that so hard to understand?
You got over 60 replies in motor forum on just one thread.

OP, people in Personal Issues and well anywhere on boards give up their time to give advice

You are abusing it, get off from boards.ie, complete time-waster

that was a bit mean. maybe the ope is only young?

Maybe his ballbag keeps hitting off his keyboard boards while splitting his brother open and keeps posting same thing.

I gave damn good advice to this word for word exact same thread in LGBT forum.
And the OP got even more advice in Personal Issues forum, lot of replies.
There is no messing in PI forum, posters take time to give good advice so to abuse it downright low

When the OP's father was drinking driving, the OP got over 60 replies in motors forum and started the thread four times since last summer

Me, I don't like timewasters

For goodness' sake OP, posting in AH to get more opinions is akin to yelling out your problems to a crowded cafe, or at a fast food counter. Yes it's a big problem you need help with, but there's LGBT and Personal Issue forums to try.

The OP posted there already, I replied to both with advice

To post a third time and in After Hours of all places is just attention seeking from the OP

Are you trying to suggest that After Hours is not the place for advice on matters that shape one's life and that life skills cannot be garnered from being amongst it's regular frequenters?

Why I resemble such scurrilous accusations and out forth the following videos as a means of a defense and evidence of how I .. ah .. mm .. eh, just watch it:

    Wait...so both sons are gay?

That's not as unusual as many here (AH) probably think.
I know a number of 'the gayers' who have a gay or lesbian sibling.

I think maybe when they are put in the bath together as babies/infants the ghey is transmitted and they all catch it.

Is your brother hot? Does he want to get AIDS with me, all up in our asses? If so tell him to give me a call on 1800 201187, its the number for HIV Testing Centre, Baggot Street Clinic. The reason I give him this number is because thats where I'll be after he rogers my anal cavity so much I'll get the AIDS. ;)

Say the odds of someone being gay are 20 to 1. What are the odds of two brothers being gay?

    20 + 1 = 21

    21 x 21 = 441 - 1 = 440

    440 to one.
