Who needs to talk when you look this good. Funnily enough, I never found him as attractive back in the day, but my God, ageing sometimes can do men a world of good.:p

Sorry, but am I missing something here?
When did he come out? 5 minutes ago you hadn't a clue who he was and now you know all about his sexual orientation.
And why is it "lol" to lust after a gay man? Don't really think that the show business has anything to do with it. Seriously, sometimes i just don't understand people....

Last nights show was a little dull(Think it was because there were no blackouts). The lads seemed of a fairly high calibre. First guy was smooth enough, kept it simple, didnt try any palor tricks. Although Mairead should've kept it under wraps a little bit more, came across as desperate(Although she did it again a few minutes later and scored, so what do I know). He was always gonna pull, just a matter of who. Reckon he got the best of the bunch in lorna.
When the guy who played for Longford Town came out I thought he was gonna get slaughtered, he looked a bit nervous. But as soon as he whipped his top off he seemed to relax, for some reason. The keepy uppies weren't the best though, he needed to be able to move the ball around his whole body as opposed to just the feet. Although to be fair to him he kept the ball up the whole time which is something considering the situation. Came across as a solid bloke and I think himself and Mairead were a good match.
The tall guy from roscommon was decent aswell, but when he started to sing I feared the worst. Unless you can sing like Jimmy from Journey, stay away from "Dont stop believing." And sadly he couldnt sing like Jimmy although it didnt totally kill him. But what planet is your woman Jen living on? She was talking about this guys looks not being the best. I dont want to be cruel or anything but my God, does she own a mirror? She really cant be calling anybody elses looks into question at all. If looks were measured by football leagues, the lad from Roscommon would be the n-power championship, Jen would be the Evo-Stik Division One league. Talk about delusional, talk about having absolutley no self awareness as to how attractive you really are. Crazy.
I was delighted when I Heard the words, Hi ladies.......Im from Cork. The Cork lads always guarantee some measure of self humiliation. Unfortunately this guy was way too slick, he was always gonna pull and any unintentional laughs would be thin on the ground.
Overall the lads were just too normal for the show to be funny this week, need a few more oddballs next week. Although the quality of the women really has taken a dramatic turn for the worst. There are only a couple left that would be decent, in the looks department anyway: Niamh C, Lorraine, The black girl(sorry cant remember her name), Ally..........I think thats about it. The English version is back on tonight, should be interesting to compare.

Well considering that this was the penultimate show you could definitely tell that the girls were getting really desperate at this stage as everyone seems to be getting dates now.
    caseyann wrote:

Ah would you stop! These lads are going on national television to be publicly ridiculed by 30 women, I'd say even the most confident of blokes would be absolutely bricking themselves in that situation.

Her accent isn't nearly as bad as some of the other girls though plus atleast she doesn't spout as much shíte as other girls from Tallaght like Jen or Carla  But has she ever left her light on for anyone after the first round? I really don't think she has. She is now official the only nice looking girl left after that last show, will her standards slip next week? I doubt it ;)

After watching the English version, please, please can we get a different presenter. Paddy is genius at this, so natural.

It is crazy that a country so close to us can have so many beautiful people on the show. The men were divine! (so were the ladies, but thats another story.;))

    I would do Janine anyway

Paddy's a legend but Ray Foley is alright too. He needs to slag the girls a bit more like Paddy though.

Yeah there's some class girls on the English one though. Few munters as well tbf.

Nah, Paddy is a natural. Foley hasn't the confidence. His cockiness on his radio show is what got him this deal, but it doesn't translate well, we can see he is nervous and everything he says is so staged, it just makes it look like the show is kinda on a low budget. I think someone like Brendan O' Connor would have done this perfectly or one of our many fine comedians. Really, after watching the English version, it made me realise that the Irish version is lacking in talent, both aesthetic and presentation.

Are you being serious? I think even most Irish girls would agree that the standard of girls on the show is pretty much embarrassing right now.

Yeah Paddy is an absolute natural in his role, it looks like he enjoys every second of it :D

I agree the standard of the contestants (both male and female) on the English show is alot higher then the Irish version but their population is something like 62m compared to Ireland's 4.5m so it would be pretty much expected TBH. But then again the Dutch version is of an even higher standard then the UK one with only a quarter of their population............but that's another story altogether ;)

I'm a girl, there have been a few that are pretty and seem nice, but sadly its just the few. Suppose some people are still trying to convince themselves that everything Irish has to be better. Sadly, it isin't. I've lost all hope in Ireland, so no longer feel the need to fool myself into patriotism.:( Quite sad. But as you say....its another story.

Its not being shallow, he is being honest. Sadly, us Irish gals are reknowned the world over for our good looks. :o As i said there are a few that are beautiful, but honestly, I wish i could say the others make up for it with smashing personalities, but many seem as shallow as you are suggesting some Irish men are. We are as bad as each other.

I don't have to be a god of men (what ever that means) to have an opinion. I think you will find that people outside of your little bubble in a place called reality will agree with me that the girls are nothing special at all........that are hardy gorgeous anyway. If there were 30 very average looking blokes instead of women I'd say the same thing

You're right, there have been a few that are pretty and nice, a perfect example of this would be Ally, but unfortunately most of them are nothing to look at or listen too. I'm not even trying to be a prick about it, that's just the way it is and there isn't alot people can do about it. But hey, personality can always outshine looks..........it's just alot of the girls on the show have neither :(

Did you see they may have (We've spoken about that," he admitted. "Perhaps a one-off special for charity and you could have single people like Peter Andre coming down the lift, Keith Lemon and other characters. It'd be a great laugh.") lol
