There seems to be 3 layers of clouds, each moving in a different direction. I just cant figure it :|

Yeah we just had another little teaser shower a minute ago. It's like it's waiting to cut loose but I wonder if the temperature is going up a bit much now and that we might have to wait for that band of cold air.

Heavy snow falling in Galway city since 6.30AM. and showing no sign of stopping :D
Temps have been rising steadily, currently 0C with a dp of -1.7C
The roads are absolutely lethal off the main routes so take care guys.

It did stop for about 30m, now started again and heavy as hell. What a lovely day :D

That cloud just skirted the south of waterford. Cork may get a better hit.

Woke up at 6 am and there was no snow in Kilkenny. Woke again at 9 am (not travelling to college!) and there was a blanket of fresh snow

Just a touch of sleet again in D15.

Not sure what happened last night - there was a new covering of something, but it didn't seem to be a huge amount, and there may have been some thawing, or some decay due to sleet/rain? Not entirely sure. Oh well, I expected worse, thought it would all have been washed away.

started snowing lightly in Celbridge. Appears to be a thaw on at the same time but hoping the temperatures turn as predicted. Sky looks quite ominous.

The thaw is on here in Ashbourne. Car wasn't even frozen this morning. Light rain is eating into the the remaining snow/hail

    What disappointment.?

The forecast was for 48 hours and for between 4-8 inches in dublin area.

Many areas are already reporting significant snow over night and we still have 30 hours left.

well it was very disappointing show in north wexford last night also there is many posters reporting a thaw in conditions there is no point in having a big showing of snow if its not going to stay around at least few hours
