Is it heavy Maq, the shower here in the City came and went fast???

Looking at the radar it seems waterford just got the northern tip of that shower.

Was just a quick shower here. Looks like plenty more showers on the way. Should be a fun hit and miss affair.

1.5 incg fell last night in my garden.

there was a big thaw at 6.30am this morning

There was a load on the trees around 3am (ish - poked eye around curtain), then all melted by 5:30. Leaving at 7:30, slush on the roads, real feel of thaw in Dublin city center.

Just drove from Dublin to Castledermot in South Kildare. Hail and sleet in Dublin. M9 was down to one lane once you got onto it and the snow depth got heavier. About 4 inches/10cm of snow down here so forecast right for this area.

    A few things:

Some of Dublin did get real snow. We got about 2" in Rathfarnham. Kids outside building a snowman.

From what I can tell the cold air which is gonna make the big snow isn't here yet. People need to take a deep breath and wait. If nothing has happened by this time tomorrow, THEN be annoyed. This was always going to be a multi-day event.

after watching met eireann's forecast last night, i was expecting to wake up to a scene from the movie 2012, when in fact i wake up to temp's of +3.5 and rain and any snow that did fall which was'nt worth its time falling, should have just kept going, is now dissapearing.
