And in other news, I got an RGB cable for my new Saturn today, and learned that I am incredibly bad at sega rally when played with a wheel. Looks lovely though!

Splatterhouse was about $40 or so which was a great price compared to some mad prices. Wily was much more unfort, shame no manual but I can live with that. A CIB version popped up a few days ago but the seller took it down, must've got a tastey offer.

/Edit Ok this is freaky, the Wily manual just popped up on ebay. Plz plz nobody else bid on it hehehe.

Got this today, well my mother picked it up for me, I don't want to tell you how little she paid for it, but it has two memory cards, one boxed the step down traffo, three number controllers and about 25 games, some are boxed most seem to be copies, like the games you see for sale in china towns. I think I need to get an RGB vidoe lead for it though.

For the record she is 75 YOA and got a better bargain than I've managed. She told me it was a play station, so I was in no rush to call up and collect it from her, she has bought me about 7 PS1s so far but I've always encouraged her to keep an eye out for me, and it paid off today. :)

And I only threw out a borked Saturn two weeks ago, pity really I didn't pull the PSU out of it before moving it on. If you do ever see another broken Saturn, the PSU's just swap over, very easily done, & means no more power step-downs etc.

I'm going to keep it, but I think I still have another in the attic, I bought a grey one about 5 years ago on ebay, I paid too much for it and I've never used it, I'll dig it out if you are interested. I paid 55 euro for it at the time, I think that was too much but i was really only starting to collect back then. I've no idea what they are selling for these days.

I have a couple of Saturns, I picked one up a couple of years ago, console only it would have been a perfect replacement for you, we should really stick these things up on the trading thread before we throw them out. I've done that before too, particularly with DS lites, only to find that I need a hinge or some other bit that was on a unit I'd binned. Between the two of us we would have had a working unit could have flipped a coin for the lot.

Ah the one I had was missing the entire cd drive, & had motherboard faults so was sadly gone to the great games room in the sky. I actually meant I should have pulled the psu out of it, I could have gave it to you to swap into your Jap console, save you the hassle of power converters etc - I really hate those things :p

Got this little bundle for free off adverts, very very happy with it :D

Almost as good was the free walll planner with this month's edge. The planner was meh, but on the back was a great poster of Mario's looks over the years. Up on my wall now, half tempted to get another to put away with the red wii. This Mario 25th anniversary is phenomenal marketing by Nintendo. I'm buying almost anything they put that logo on :P

Good news and bad news. Good news - candy is in the kitchen! Bad news, currently monitor trouble (Too much throwing the thing about trying to get it into the house). Should hopefully be fixed in the next week or so.

Seeing as I cant play it I decided to take some photos instead. She's a real beauty (Cheers Mitch!). Couple of small scuffs (it's a white cab afterall) but nothing a bit of elbow grease won't fix.

It booted up perfectly for a moment and then the image collapsed to a line. Couldn't get it out of that.

Mitch reckons something on the chassis got buggered up during the move. Going to replace it with one from one of his other Atomiswaves.

I'm just a bit concerned now as I'll have to move it again in a few months. Guess I'll just have to be super super careful!

They seem delicate creatures alright. Mine had issues after bringing it home too even though I was careful as feck with it. Not much you can do if you have to move it again though but only worry about it when the time comes. :)

I think you mentioned to me that yours only moved backwards and forewards? Mine is on castors and can move in any way you want. So once it's on a flat surface you could almost push it around with your baby finger. The hard part is getting it up steps. The bugger weights 110kgs!
