He is talking about the free wheeling male gay lifestyle, as opposed to the female version of settling. Let's take cottaging. Doesn't happen hetrosexually.

He may have quit temporarily but my guess is that this caught him at bad timing.

There's two things we know about Stephen:

1) He loves Twitter and being technologically linked to people. He's a nerd.
2) He's manic depressive/bi-polar to a fairly serious degree.

Chances are he'll be back when he goes into an up swing. I doubt he'd be able to resist the internet for very long, especially Twitter.

What cod science is that? All evolutionary theorists on sexual activity I have ever read say that there is a reason for women's less casual attitude to sex related to obvious biological reasons - i.e. getting left with the baby.
